Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcos De Lima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Capitan Fairtex! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fairtex tries for a takedown but De Lima circles away easily and De Lima cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fairtex looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Fairtex ducks under a wild hook from De Lima. De Lima jabs Fairtex right on the nose. Fairtex blinks but takes it well. De Lima bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. De Lima loads up on a big right hand but Fairtex slips the punch. Fairtex throws a big counter head kick but De Lima avoids it with no problem. De Lima scores with a takedown into Fairtex's guard. De Lima stands and throws Fairtex's legs to the side, diving into side control. De Lima is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fairtex will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Lima has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Fairtex really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Lima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De Lima works to advance to full mount. Fairtex defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. De Lima content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. De Lima lands a couple of good shots and Fairtex has given up his back, trying to escape the position! De Lima slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Lima lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. De Lima is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. De Lima gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. De Lima gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. De Lima apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Fairtex is rocked! De Lima not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Fairtex is still in real trouble! Can De Lima finish him? De Lima arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Fairtex's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Marcos De Lima! Marcos De Lima got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'

With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eli Vieira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shay Hendrikx! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice jab there from Hendrikx. Hendrikx rushes Vieira and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Hendrikx fails to land. Vieira blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Vieira has Hendrikx pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vieira pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hendrikx tumbling to the mat - Vieira dives into Hendrikx's guard. Vieira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hendrikx swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vieira stands up over Hendrikx, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Vieira connects with a couple of short punches. Hendrikx looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Vieira postures up and lands a big shot to Hendrikx's brow. It looks like Shay Hendrikx has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vieira pushing down on Hendrikx's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Vieira thows a huge punch but Hendrikx dodges it nicely.
Vieira works his foot free and advances to mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Vieira postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Hendrikx badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Vieira around the waist but Vieira pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Vieira is the winner by TKO! Vieira jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lil Mosey! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast wants to clinch up but Mosey keeps it at a distance. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mosey is defended easily by Beast. Beast rushes Mosey and presses him up against the cage. Beast pulls Mosey into guard.

Cartwright avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. I was talking to Ramirez's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Ramirez has Cartwright pressed against the cage, preventing Cartwright from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Ramirez is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cartwright can't fight it off and eventually Ramirez manages to take the fight to the floor. Cartwright looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cartwright has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Ramirez is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Cartwright breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cartwright connects with the punch. Cartwright is looking to clinch. Cartwright dodges the punch combination from Ramirez.

Cartwright tries to clinch up. Cartwright lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Chavaski being controlled here, momentarily. Anthony Epolito is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Chavaski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Epolito defends well. Chavaski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Epolito is one step ahead there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kazuo Takashi dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. San lands with an uppercut that bounces Takashi off the cage and back into range. San throws a hook but Takashi avoids it easily. Takashi is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from San. San throws a jab when Takashi was well out of range. San waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Takashi. Takashi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from San. Takashi drops down looking for a counter takedown but San sprawls and moves away. San thows a left - swing and a miss! San looks to land a right hand but Takashi moved out of range. San misses with a straight left. Takashi is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from San. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takashi tries to close the distance and clinch but San swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Takashi gets cracked there but stands up to it.

San is working Takashi over against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Takashi has San pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. San manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A shot in the inside from San. San throws a big uppercut that drops Takashi! More strikes from San and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Takashi lies dazed against the cage as San celebrates with his cornermen!
