Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Suga Diabeetus (ranked 4894 p4p, 4613 weight class) and Carl Courtright (ranked 489 p4p, 473 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Courtright closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diabeetus circles away. Diabeetus stuffs the takedown attempt from Courtright. Courtright gets slowly back to his feet. Diabeetus dips to his left and cracks Courtright with an uppercut! Courtright tries to clinch but Diabeetus moves out of range. Courtright tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Diabeetus counter with a right hand. Diabeetus lands a nice hook to Courtright's body. Courtright takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Diabeetus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Courtright moves away from the strike by Diabeetus. A slow jab from Diabeetus misses its intended target. Courtright pushes Diabeetus up against the cage in a clinch. Diabeetus avoids a wild elbow strike from Courtright. Courtright with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Diabeetus definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Courtright using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Diabeetus has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Diabeetus throws a body shot but no joy. Diabeetus bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Diabeetus jabs Courtright to the body, keeping him at a distance. Courtright walks into a straight right hand from Diabeetus. A swing and a miss from Diabeetus. A jab from Diabeetus misses. Good shot there by Diabeetus. The fight stays on the outside here - Courtright looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Courtright tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diabeetus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Courtright somewhat. Courtright thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Courtright working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Diabeetus's head. Courtright drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Courtright jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Courtright drops back for a leg! Courtright's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Diabeetus connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Courtright scrambles back to his feet. Courtright tries to clinch but Diabeetus moves out of range. Courtright tries to clinch and Diabeetus counters with a nice uppercut. Diabeetus scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. A jab lands there for Diabeetus. Courtright tries to clinch up. Courtright takes a jab right on the kisser.

And that's the end of the fight! Suga Diabeetus showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diabeetus, winning every round. Will the judges agree? We've been told by Velyanov's head coaches at Takeda Clan Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Pauli scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Velyanov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pauli. Pauli needs to keep his hands up - Velyanov had a free shot at his head there. Oooooh!!! Pauli has knocked Velyanov down with a huge combo! Pauli steps away and waves a wobbly Velyanov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Velyanov is rocked! It looks like Alexander Velyanov has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Velyanov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Velyanov gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Pauli points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inhanamoto moves away from the strike by Gabor. Inhanamoto checks a low kick from Gabor. Inhanamoto connects with a body shot. Gabor scores with a kick to the midsection. Gabor looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A thudding body kick lands there by Gabor!
Tiitus Gabor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Inhanamoto throws a right and a left that both miss. Inhanamoto blocks a leg kick. Gabor throws out a loose jab but Inhanamoto uses good head movement to avoid it. Inhanamoto takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Inhanamoto throws out a counter right but Gabor avoids it with no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inhanamoto moves out of range of the body kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Inhanamoto looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gabor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Inhanamoto moves away. Gabor thows a left - swing and a miss! It seemed like Inhanamoto was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Gabor scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Inhanamoto misses with a left hand letting Gabor counter with a right hand. Inhanamoto throws a big shot that misses. Inhanamoto blocks a head kick by Gabor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gabor throws a body shot but no joy. Inhanamoto digs a good body shot into Gabor's ribs. Inhanamoto takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Gabor misses. Gabor scores with a kick to the body.
Inhanamoto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gabor paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gabor is looking for a counter combo. Gabor swats away the attempt to clinch by Inhanamoto. Gabor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. It looks like Ryu Inhanamoto has been cut. Gabor looking to land some kicks to the body here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gabor motions for Inhanamoto to come forward. Gabor throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Gabor pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A little jabbing left from Inhanamoto on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Inhanamoto tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A head kick by Gabor misses and Inhanamoto counters with a nice uppercut. A head kick misses from Gabor. Inhanamoto wants to clinch up but Gabor keeps it at a distance. Gabor throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A looping hook to the body misses from Gabor. Inhanamoto does a little dance to reset his feet. Crunch! Gabor slams his shin into Inhanamoto's torso. Inhanamoto on the wrong end of a nice hook. Gabor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Inhanamoto finds it's way round the side to connect with Gabor's head. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Inhanamoto checks a leg kick. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Inhanamoto! But no joy. Some bone on bone action there as Inhanamoto checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gabor thows a body kick. Inhanamoto tries to catch it but that hurt him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gabor bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Gabor tries to bum rush Inhanamoto with a series of wild strikes but Inhanamoto uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gabor scores with a nice strike. Gabor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A low kick from Gabor is predictable there and Inhanamoto counters with a nice uppercut. Gabor misses with a series of wild punches.
Gabor misses with a wild body shot. Gabor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Inhanamoto. That did some damage! Inhanamoto has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Gabor. Gabor with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Gabor moves out of range of the strikes. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tiitus Gabor dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ryu Inhanamoto's cut. That's time! Gabor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Inhanamoto takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Inhanamoto now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Gabor thuds his shin into the meat of Inhanamoto's side. Gabor looks to land a combination. Inhanamoto sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Inhanamoto throws a nice looking combination but Gabor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gabor misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Inhanamoto.
Gabor misses with a kick to the body and Inhanamoto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Inhanamoto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Gabor throws a wild body kick that Inhanamoto sees coming a mile off. Gabor avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Inhanamoto might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gabor lands a front kick. Inhanamoto looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Inhanamoto takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Gabor takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Gabor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Inhanamoto can do to turn this around?

Gabor rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Inhanamoto finish him?!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Inhanamoto! But no joy. Gabor throws a push kick but Inhanamoto slaps the foot to one side. Inhanamoto tries to clinch up. Inhanamoto rushes Gabor and presses him up against the cage. Inhanamoto lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gabor backwards. A head punch on the inside from Gabor fails to land. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Inhanamoto creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Inhanamoto blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Gabor misses with a short punch on the inside. Gabor goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Gabor tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Inhanamoto lands a body punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gabor tries to work over Inhanamoto's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Gabor tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cartwright controlling the action here. Tyranis is staying active underneath Cartwright, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Tyranis looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cartwright passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tyranis! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cartwright won't let Tyranis get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Cartwright is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Tyranis is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Tyranis flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Cartwright anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Tyranis and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Cartwright slips an arm under Tyranis chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Cartwright has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Cartwright is squeezing on Tyranis like an anaconda would it's prey. Tyranis fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
