Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Willie Stroker (ranked 3743 p4p, 24361 weight class) and Evan Gilbert (ranked 347 p4p, 431 weight class). Stroker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ram Ranch. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

You can see the frustration on Be's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Vieira tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vieira has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Vieira has an Americana. Be didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Vieira is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Vieira hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Slater shoots in looking for a takedown. Arishima tries to sprawl out of it but Slater keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arishima manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ikuma Arishima has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Slater.
Arishima wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Arishima lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Slater tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Arishima defends well and Slater ends up having to push Arishima into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ojo, as that shot connected.
