The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Foster working Russell over with strikes. Foster working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Foster not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Foster thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Russell's head. Foster is pressing down on Russell's thigh, looking to free his foot. Russell is holding on for now. Russell keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Russell taking some punishment here, with Foster in his half guard. Foster throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Russell wants to get back to his feet. Russell has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gold Samurai's Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Foster passes to full mount! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Russell can do anything to dispel that myth. Foster lands with some strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Foster working away from the top, dropping strikes. Foster lands a heavy elbow. Foster looking to finish Russell with some ground and pound. This is bad for Russell!
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Foster cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Foster lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Russell! Foster sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Russell and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Winter Panda! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Panda lands in his opponent's guard. Panda postures up.
Panda cracks Gracie with a solid left hand. Gracie punching from the bottom. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Panda makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Panda stopping the sweep attempt from Gracie. Panda trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Panda in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gracie sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Panda defending well though. Gracie working Panda over with strikes. Panda is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard. Panda is not content to let Gracie control the position. Gracie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Panda! Panda working to try and regain half guard.
Panda tries to hold on but Gracie postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking to control but Panda is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Gracie avoids the attempt from Panda to control. Panda is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea. Gracie wants to control the pace but Panda is squirming around nicely. Panda tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Panda is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Panda is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panda is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount. Panda is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Panda is holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Panda is looking to escape. Panda wants to hold on but Gracie pushes him away. Panda throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Panda tries to hold on but Gracie pushes him away. Gracie looking to control but Panda is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking to control and managing it successfully. Panda is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea. Panda avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gracie.
Gracie trying to control but Panda is having none of it. Panda really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Panda is working to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Choke Gracie dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Gracie shoots in but no luck this time. Panda drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Panda working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gracie's head. Gracie is looking to cinch up a triangle. Panda throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Panda's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as No Neck checks a leg kick. Avallone misses with an uppercut
and No Neck counters by moving into the clinch. No Neck wants to break the clinch but can't.

No Neck lands a left hand that snaps the head of Avallone backwards. With the fighters clinched against the cage, No Neck creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. No Neck tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Avallone avoids it. Avallone keeps control of No Neck as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Avallone working aggressively here.

Avallone struggles to land a body shot inside as No Neck controls his hands.
No Neck lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Avallone to his knees! No Neck keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dubois cracks Beznisko with a good jab. Beznisko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dubois tries to avoid it but Beznisko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dubois to the ground. Dubois escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dubois swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Beznisko drops his hands momentarily and Dubois takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Beznisko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dubois sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Beznisko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Dubois smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Dubois looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Dubois dips to his left and cracks Beznisko with an uppercut! Dubois's jab looks to have found its range, popping Beznisko under the eye. Beznisko drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Dubois connects with a single shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! Dubois connects with a crisp jab. Decent striking displayed by Dubois there. Beznisko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Beznisko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dubois keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dubois wants to get back to his feet but Beznisko drags him back down. The referee asks Beznisko politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Beznisko prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beznisko tries for a kimura but Dubois is defending well. Beznisko has an Americana. Dubois didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Beznisko is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Beznisko hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ruslan Beznisko! Ruslan Beznisko was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
