Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kronic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arkadi Novikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arkadi Novikov! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Novikov's face. Novikov staggers backwards, shaken. Kronic thows a body shot but no joy. Novikov tries to clinch up but Kronic circles away and keeps his distance. Nice takedown defense from Novikov. No joy for Kronic on that attempt. Novikov looks to score with a jab to the body but Kronic is just out of range.
Kronic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Novikov working a defensive guard here.
Kronic not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kronic won't allow Novikov to sweep him here. Kronic postures up in Novikov's guard and throws a big left but Novikov blocks it. Kronic trying to control but Novikov is working from the bottom. Kronic throwing strikes but missing.

Novikov closes the distance and clinches up with Kronic, looking for a takedown. Novikov pushes Kronic against the cage but Kronic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Novikov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Novikov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Novikov wants to control but Kronic is keeping him busy. An elbow from Novikov crashes against the mat.

Novikov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kronic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Novikov has managed to get both his arms back between Kronic's legs - danger averted. Kronic is breathing heavily.

Novikov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kronic's guard. Novikov working some strikes from top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Novikov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kronic keeping moving, preventing Novikov from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Novikov stays in close to Kronic's body and controls the position.

Kronic fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Novikov, pushing him back against the cage. Novikov gets underhooks to prevent Kronic's takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arkadi Novikov dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kronic can't do much from the bottom here. Kronic takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Kronic wants to control but Novikov postures up. Novikov fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Kronic controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The strikes coming from Novikov are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Kronic is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Novikov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Novikov! Kronic trying to control the position.

Kronic has his feet on Novikov's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Novikov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kronic circles away. Kronic digs a good body shot into Novikov's ribs. Novikov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jack Kronic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arkadi Novikov.

Arkadi Novikov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Novikov dives in and grabs Kronic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kronic pushes down on Novikov's head and hops out.

Kronic is trying to trip Novikov. He has hold of a leg but Novikov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kronic persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Kronic with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Novikov pulls Kronic in close to his closed guard and prevents Kronic from doing any damage or advancing position. Kronic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jack Kronic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kronic is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Novikov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Novikov has escaped and now he's on top!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Arkadi Novikov. I've got Novikov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Deal tries to roll over but Green keeps him under control. Green thows a huge punch but Deal dodges it nicely.

Al Deal dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Bundy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bundy trying to control the position from guard on top but Blasko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A wild punch that just about connected. Fuuma shoots for a double leg takedown but Rasputin sprawls well. He's pushed Fuuma's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A left lands for Rasputin. Rasputin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Fuuma looks gassed! Rasputin connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rasputin connects with a right hand. Fuuma shakes it off. Rasputin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fuuma takes a jab right on the kisser.
Rasputin cracks Fuuma with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Fuuma tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Rasputin pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Fuuma is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
