That's better than Yajaw was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yajaw working the head and body with strikes. Schneider tries to get back to half guard but can't. Yajaw working away. Yajaw wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schneider keeps working. Yajaw has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dakarai Alaba! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alaba clinches up with Karter and pushes him back against the cage. Karter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Alaba throws a punch but it's blocked by Karter. Alaba goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Alaba should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Karter tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
