Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Ryo Hazuki (ranked 22466 p4p, 23851 weight class) and Pharoah The First Chai (ranked 416 p4p, 419 weight class). Ryo Hazuki had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Pharoah The First Chai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

and Congo counters with a nice low kick that buckles Tua's knee momentarily.

Tua dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Congo. That did some damage!

Congo moves out of range of the body kick from Tua.
Tua throws a leg kick which misses Congo's front leg but catches the back leg as Congo tries to avoid it.

Tua lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Congo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Tua throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Congo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tua lands a nice shot that snaps Congo's head back.
Congo is still on wobbly legs! Can Tua finish him?
Tua scores with a hook to the body. Congo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Congo seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tua throws a leg kick which misses Congo's front leg but catches the back leg as Congo tries to avoid it.

Beta Tua takes that one as he scored multiple knockdowns. Roberto Congo was lucky to get out of the first round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
