Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ty Vanorden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doric Dienekes!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Dienekes fails with the takedown
and Dienekes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vanorden swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vanorden displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dienekes.
Vanorden jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Dienekes avoids the head kick by Vanorden.
Dienekes drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vanorden defends it well.
Dienekes shoots and misses
and Vanorden counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ty Vanorden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doric Dienekes.

Dienekes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vanorden sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dienekes somewhat.
Dienekes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vanorden defends well and Dienekes ends up having to push Vanorden into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Vanorden counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from Vanorden. No joy for Dienekes on that attempt.

and Vanorden counters with a crisp right hand that drops Dienekes! Vanorden lets Dienekes back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Dienekes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vanorden as he jumps to the side.
Vanorden looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Vanorden is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Vanorden throws a body kick that misses.
Dienekes feints the counter takedown.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vanorden throws out a loose jab but Dienekes uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Vanorden circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Dienekes drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Vanorden follows Dienekes to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
