The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DC takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dukes.
DC drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dukes defends it well.

Dude Dukes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dukes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

DC throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dukes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. DC is in Dukes's guard.

Robinson throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Van Tonder's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Robinson dives in looking to finish as Van Tonder flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Robinson's strikes! Robinson is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Van Tonder's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Van Tonder was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
