It looks like Max Termassus has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Termassus has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Zhitkov throws a hook to the side of Doumergos's head but Doumergos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Zhitkov swings for the body but Doumergos moves out of range.
Gaston Doumergos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Zhitkov counters with a two punch combo.

Oh Doumergos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zhitkov scores with an uppercut up the middle.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zhitkov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Zhitkov lands a big right hand that drops Doumergos! The killer instinct kicks in and Zhitkov finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Zhitkov!

Garces is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cartier seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Cartier gets to his feet and stands over Garces, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Garces felt that one! Cartier unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Garces from any more punishment!
