Lyle throws a hook to the side of Taylor's head but Taylor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Taylor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lyle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taylor was well out of range. Poor timing from Lyle. Lyle misses with an uppercut. Lyle looks to throw the jab but Taylor is out of range. Taylor slips under a jab. Bruce Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lyle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Some wild striking there from Lyle.
Nice shot lands for Taylor. It looks like Terry Lyle has been cut. Taylor on the wrong end of a nice hook. Lyle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Taylor is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Lyle lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Taylor - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Lyle!

and Yamasaki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A combination from Iron Fist does no damage. A little feinted left hand from Yamasaki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Iron Fist misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Iron Fist ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Yamasaki looks to land a right hand but Iron Fist moved out of range. Iron Fist thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Yamasaki if he has to take too many more of those.

Axelsen has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jones to stand back up! Jones is rocked! Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Axelsen, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Axelsen against the ropes but Axelsen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A little jabbing left from Axelsen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Jones staying out of range there. Axelsen throws a right hand that misses
and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Axelsen fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Axelsen pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Jones tries for a takedown but Axelsen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Axelsen tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Loke Axelsen! Loke Axelsen is the new super heavyweight champion! Loke Axelsen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
