Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omar Bonga (ranked 4802 p4p, 3337 weight class) and Kemp Dennis (ranked 521 p4p, 409 weight class). The key to victory for Omar Bonga has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Bonga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kemp Dennis! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bonga tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dennis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bonga somewhat. Dennis drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bonga defends it well. Dennis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bonga's guard. Bonga pushes Dennis off and gets back to his feet.

and Dennis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dennis trying to control the position from guard on top but Bonga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dennis stopping the sweep attempt from Bonga. Dennis landing some decent shots from guard. Dennis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bonga's coaches at Vancouver Island Fight Club have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Dennis is nestled in close to Bonga, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dennis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bonga with a short hammerfist. Bonga has one foot on Dennis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Bonga leaves Dennis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Some bone on bone action there as Dennis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Dennis is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bonga tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Dennis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bonga throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And Dennis tries to counter it with a takedown but Bonga pushes his down on his head and steps out. Dennis has a takedown stuffed. Omar Bonga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kemp Dennis.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Bonga is predictable there and Dennis counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dennis. Dennis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dennis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Bonga being controlled here, momentarily. Dennis might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bonga haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marciano throws a jab when Kong was well out of range. Kong dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Marciano works the jab nicely. Kong checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Marciano swings away with a leg kick that misses. Marciano misses with a leg kick and Marciano takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kong with a jab. Marciano moves out of range of the body kick. An inside leg kick from Kong misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marciano tries to clinch but Kong moves out of range.
