With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alfonzo Bondzie! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knightley blocks a low kick nicely. Knightley has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bondzie. Bondzie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knightley finds it's way round the side to connect with Bondzie's head. Bondzie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Knightley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bondzie takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Knightley scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bondzie in his tracks. A clash of legs there as Knightley blocks the low kick. Bondzie tries to move into range but Knightley moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Knightley scores with a push kick. Knightley misses with an uppercut. Bondzie saw that one coming. Knightley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Knightley creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Knightley wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Bondzie will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Knightley looks to land a left hand but Bondzie moved out of range nicely. Knightley dips to his left and cracks Bondzie with an uppercut! Knightley thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bondzie if he has to take too many more of those.

Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bondzie's face. Bondzie staggers backwards, shaken. It looks like Alfonzo Bondzie has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knightley lands an overhand right. Knightley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bondzie sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bondzie takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bondzie ducks under a wild hook from Knightley. A jab lands there for Knightley. Knightley thumps Bondzie with a low kick. Bondzie misses with a low kick.
Knightley bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Bondzie is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Knightley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bondzie's hands. Bondzie avoids a punch combination nicely.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fight stays on the outside here - Bondzie looks like he's thinking about clinching though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knightley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Wesley Crusher has been cut. Goodwire jabs Crusher to the body, keeping him at a distance. Crusher tests Goodwire's chin there with a solid looking shot. Goodwire swinging wildly here.
Crusher pushes Goodwire away with a front kick. Goodwire throws a combination. Crusher tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Crusher lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Goodwire throws a shot from downtown. Crusher moves away and avoids it. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Crusher has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Crusher scores with the left hand. Goodwire knows he should have avoided that one. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crusher lands a nice looking kick to the body. Goodwire takes a step back to recover. Crusher avoids a punch combination nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yeah with a poor takedown and McGarvey counters with an inside leg kick. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valdenius has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Valdenius there as he acknowledges the shot. Kaji throws a shot from downtown. Valdenius moves away and avoids it. And Valdenius tries to counter it with a takedown but Kaji pushes his down on his head and steps out. Sabel lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Sabel. Grappling tries for a takedown but Sabel manages to get underhooks.

Taylor moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off. Taylor gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A head kick by Smith misses and Taylor counters with a takedown into side control! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Taylor uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith. Taylor now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Smith throws a hook to the side of Taylor's head but Taylor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Taylor! But no joy. Smith's corner calls for a 1-2. Smith obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Taylor shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Smith cracks Taylor with a right hand to the side of the head.
