Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quentin Infantino! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cameron McNab! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Infantino.
McNab misses the body punch and Infantino counters with a leg kick. McNab with a poor takedown and Infantino counters with a left and a right that stings McNab. McNab has his takedown stuffed and Infantino counters with a nice body shot. Good exchange - McNab coming out on top. McNab fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Infantino looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McNab tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Infantino defends well and McNab ends up having to push Infantino into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Quentin Infantino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron McNab. McNab slips a jab from Infantino. McNab connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. McNab avoids the body shot from Infantino.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Infantino enables McNab to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Infantino manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Infantino is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. McNab pushes down on Infantino's leg and manages to get into half guard. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. McNab is thwarting Infantino's attempts to control the position. McNab trying to control from Infantino's half guard. Infantino has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Infantino is pulling down on McNab's head. It's preventing any offense from McNab, at least for the moment. McNab showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Infantino working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McNab. Infantino on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Infantino tries to get out of the position. McNab throws a strike but Infantino rolls with it and manages to sweep. McNab looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Infantino got a little sloppy there for a moment and McNab has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Infantino has managed to get both his arms back between McNab's legs - danger averted.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McNab connects with a nice short shot to Infantino's temple. McNab sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Infantino defending well though. McNab content to control rather than advance. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McNab lands with a punch from half guard. McNab is looking to take a break and control but Infantino is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McNab is nestled in close to Infantino, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Infantino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McNab on the ground. Infantino wants to get back to full guard. McNab performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Infantino is staying active underneath McNab, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. McNab throws out a loose jab but Infantino uses good head movement to avoid it. McNab closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Infantino quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Infantino manages to regain full guard. Nice work. McNab looking to sit in guard and control but Infantino gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McNab looking to hit a scissor sweep but Infantino is one step ahead there.

McNab is working an open guard so Infantino takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. McNab tries to score a power double leg takedown but Infantino sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McNab somewhat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McNab misses with a takedown attempt - Infantino sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McNab swings and misses with a shot to the body and Infantino counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. McNab showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Infantino.
Infantino throws a lazy right hand but McNab sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McNab. Quentin Infantino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron McNab. McNab lands with a hook. Infantino tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. McNab shoots in for a takedown but Infantino shows good takedown defense. McNab takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Quentin Infantino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McNab closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Infantino to the mat! Infantino manages to get full guard. McNab looking to sit in guard and control but Infantino gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That was a close second round but I would say that Quentin Infantino will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! McNab shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Infantino pinned against the cage. Infantino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Infantino appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. McNab changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Infantino looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McNab tries to advance to mount but Infantino denies him. McNab in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Infantino is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNab working the ground and pound. Infantino is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McNab is one step ahead and moves to full mount! McNab lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Infantino is trying desperately to improve position. Infantino tries to lock up and control but McNab gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Infantino is in a horrible position here. McNab smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Infantino is squirming around, avoiding McNab's attempts to control the action. Oooooh, big shot lands for McNab! Infantino is hurt baaadly! McNab is firing away with more strikes - Infantino is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aingot Nofud! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gray just misses with a punch to the body.
Nofud steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Nofud takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Gray gets a clinch. Nofud tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gray. I was talking to Gray's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Nofud blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Nofud misses with a short punch on the inside. Nofud lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Gray misses with a hook to the ribs.

Nofud can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gray controls the pace. Nofud is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gray tries to free his leg and advance position but Nofud is retaining full guard. Gray passes Nofud's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Gray controlling the action here. Gray has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Gray looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Gray's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Nofud dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gray. That did some damage! Nice cross by Gray. Gray misses with a right hand and Nofud counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Gray forces Nofud back against the cage and clinches. Nofud wants a takedown but no success here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nofud misses the jab. It looked like Gray was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Nofud. Gray misses with the combination.

and Nofud counters with a nice leg kick. Gray misses with a straight left. Gray ducks under a wild hook from Nofud. Gray scores with a hook to the body. Nofud takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Gray takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Nofud ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gray takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Nofud throws the left hand but Gray avoids the punch easily. Nofud throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A quick step to the side and Gray tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Nofud throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Mick Taylor! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Taylor now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Smith jabbing away but nothing is landing. Taylor defending well as Smith loads up on a big left hand. Taylor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taylor off to one side. Smith throws a nice head kick!
Taylor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Taylor swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Smith misses with a straight right. Taylor now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor throws out a powerful jab. Smith throws a head kick that misses and Taylor counters with a single leg into guard. Smith didn't expect that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Luke Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A jab from Smith does it's job there. Luke Smith is winning the standup battle so far. Taylor avoids the body shot from Smith.
Smith misses with a looping left. Taylor looks like he wants to counter punch here. Smith is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Taylor moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Smith stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Taylor steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith. Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Taylor manages to avoid it. Taylor now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've been told by Smith's head coaches at Hammer House of Horror that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Taylor fails with the takedown and Taylor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Smith misses with a hook.

Smith throws a lazy head kick and Taylor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Smith looks to land a left hand but Taylor moved out of range nicely. The crowd are loving this. Taylor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Smith pulls him back up using the underhooks. Taylor drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.
Luke Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Taylor. Smith throws a hook but Taylor avoids it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Taylor gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Smith. Smith throws a sloppy body shot
