We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Braga wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
It seemed like Jackson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Holmberg shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chongching napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Chongching throws Holmberg to one side and escapes!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Holmberg has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Chongching makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Chongching avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice straight punches there by Holmberg. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Holmberg.

We've been told by Chongching's head coaches at Sydney Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Almeda feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
