Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Bond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ernest Chabot! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Bond as Chabot shoots in. Bond connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Chabot shoots in for a takedown but Bond shows good takedown defense. Chabot blocks a head kick by Bond.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bond. Chabot checks a low kick from Bond. Chabot closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bond circles away. Matt Bond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ernest Chabot. Bond thumps Chabot with a low kick. Bond throws a nice inside leg kick. Nice takedown defense from Bond. No joy for Chabot on that attempt. Chabot shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Chabot throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bond's waist but Bond gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chabot off to one side. Chabot fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bond sprawls well initially but Chabot persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chabot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bond. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chabot won't allow Bond to sweep him here. Chabot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Chabot stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bond swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bond is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. This has been an exciting period of action! Chabot content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Let's hope that Chabot has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ernest Chabot has got the better of the ground game so far.

This has been an exciting period of action! Buakaw wants to control from the top but Sola keeps moving. Sola trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Buakaw works a leg free and moves into half guard. Sola striking from the bottom. Buakaw is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sola throws a right and a left that Buakaw avoids nicely. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Buakaw takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Buakaw is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Sola is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A little jabbing left from Sola on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Sola bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Buakaw's head. Buakaw is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sola can do to turn this around? Buakaw closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Sola in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Buakaw misses with the combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Buakaw lands with a cross. Sola lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Buakaw circles away quickly and effectively. Sola drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A shot to the liver by Buakaw. Beautiful body shot. Buakaw scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sola takes a shot to the body in his stride.

And that's the end of the fight! Banchamek Buakaw showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buakaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sabel on the wrong end of a nice jab. Sabel avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sabel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Apuro throws out the jab. Apuro takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The fighters circling - Apuro throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Apuro uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sabel.
