With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderley Silva! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva looks to clinch and Garcia counters with a two punch combo. Silva has Garcia up against the cage in a clinch.

I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Silva lands a damaging elbow. It looks like Junior Garcia has been cut. A head punch blocked on the inside by Silva. Silva drags the fight down to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Garcia trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Silva keeping moving, preventing Garcia from controlling successfully. Silva staggers backwards, shaken. Silva goes for a double leg but Garcia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Garcia continues to drive forward. Silva on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Silva shoots in for a takedown but Garcia shows good takedown defense. Garcia seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Garcia scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. A combination from Garcia does no damage. Silva moves in looking to clinch but Garcia pushes him off. Both fighters circling a little - Garcia finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Silva keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Silva throws a wild body kick that Garcia sees coming a mile off. Garcia scores with a nice strike. Silva throws an off balance right hand
and Garcia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Garcia circles away from the clinch attempt enabling Garcia to counter with a crisp jab. Garcia circles away from the clinch attempt.
It looked like Garcia was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Silva drops his hands momentarily and Garcia takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Silva is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Garcia. Silva has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garcia tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garcia to the ground. Garcia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Garcia throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Silva moves to clinch but Garcia breaks away and Garcia counters with a one-two to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No joy there for Garcia, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Good standup being displayed there by Garcia as he connects with a hook. Garcia keeps the fight on the outside. Junior Garcia is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Silva throws a wild body kick that Garcia sees coming a mile off.
And that's the end of the fight! Junior Garcia showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garcia, winning every round. Will the judges agree? With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Peachey! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peachey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Peachey closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. It looks like Steven Peachey has been cut. Chung bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Peachey's head backwards. Peachey wants to clinch up but Chung keeps it at a distance. Chung throws a big counter combination but Peachey scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Peachey has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Peachey connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Chung cracks Peachey with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Peachey looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away can Chung finish him?
Peachey is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Peachey ducks into an uppercut from Chung and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ramon Chung! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ghafour fails with a takedown attempt. Magomedov Jr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ghafour sprawls well initially but Magomedov Jr persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Magomedov Jr is controlling the pace.

Ghafour really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Magomedov Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Magomedov Jr controlling the action here.

Horrible takedown attempt by Magomedov Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Ghafour, which made it look bad. We've been told by Magomedov Jr's head coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Magomedov Jr scores with a punch to the head. Magomedov Jr is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ghafour.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Magomedov Jr chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ghafour can pounce on him.
Magomedov Jr shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ghafour manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ghafour trying to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Magomedov Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Magomedov Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ghafour wants to stand up but Magomedov Jr is controlling him. Magomedov Jr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. No luck with that takedown attempt from Magomedov Jr. Magomedov Jr sets himself, and Ghafour steps forward looking for the clinch! Magomedov Jr avoids it this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ghafour tries to score a power double leg takedown but Magomedov Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ghafour somewhat. Ghafour shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Magomedov Jr as he avoids it easily. Imanshapi Magomedov Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kamal Ghafour. Ghafour shoots in but no luck this time. Ghafour clinches. Magomedov Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Magomedov Jr leaves Ghafour with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ghafour tries to clinch there but Magomedov Jr circles away.

Imanshapi Magomedov Jr dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ghafour tries to clinch but Magomedov Jr moves out of range. Ghafour is looking to clinch. Ghafour is trying hard to land a takedown here. Magomedov Jr sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Magomedov Jr goes for a double leg but Ghafour avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ghafour continues to drive forward. Magomedov Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ghafour can do to turn this around? Magomedov Jr prevents Ghafour from breaking the clinch. Magomedov Jr has Ghafour pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Magomedov Jr pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ghafour tumbling to the mat - Magomedov Jr dives into Ghafour's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ghafour has an active guard here but Magomedov Jr has managed to pass into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Magomedov Jr is taking a breather. Ghafour says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ghafour for as long as he can get away with. Magomedov Jr maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ghafour could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Magomedov Jr has cracked it and Ghafour is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Magomedov Jr!

Mcneil slaps away a takedown attempt from Sparks, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sparks walks into a stiff left hand from Mcneil. It looks like Lamont Sparks has been cut. Mcneil lands a big right hook! Sparks looks hurt but is still standing! Mcneil lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Sparks falls down and Mcneil dives in with a huge hammer fist! Sparks's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Mcneil runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Haley. A nice side step and Rodrigues releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Rodrigues keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Haley. Rodrigues showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Haley.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dover shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Lee to counter with a crisp jab. Dover tries for a takedown but Lee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lee throwing a counter right hand but Dover manages to avoid it. Dover with a lazy takedown attempt and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jeong Yeong Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Dover. Dover shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Licker tries to get out of the position. Robertson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akiyama tests Chimaev's chin there with a solid looking shot. Akiyama moves out of range as Chimaev strikes. Akiyama throws a lazy head kick and Chimaev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Akiyama won't be happy with that. Akiyama is trying to control Chimaev's posture but Chimaev avoids it. Akiyama is trying to improve his position. Akiyama is trying to work for a sweep but Chimaev has mounted him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chimaev stands up from mount. Strange move. Akiyama waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Chimaev. That was a close second round but I would say that Yoshihiro Akiyama will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Akiyama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chimaev fails to land the takedown. Akiyama lands with a cross. Akiyama feints and then cracks Chimaev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chimaev down. Akiyama closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. and Hall counters with a crisp right hand that drops Meta! Hall lets Meta back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Meta is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Meta lands with a shot to the body. Meta is still on wobbly legs! Can Hall finish him? Meta looks to score with a jab to the body but Hall is just out of range. Meta seems to have recovered his senses. Meta throws a looping overhand right but Hall ducks down to avoid it. Meta cracks a nice hook into Hall's ribs. Meta connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Meta connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hall's hands. Meta throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Meta throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hall swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Meta dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jab from Meta. Meta has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hall looks to land a right hand but Meta moved out of range. Hall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Meta. A little feinted left hand from Hall on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Meta throws a shot to the body.

Hall is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Meta misses with a few strikes there.

Hall walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Meta takes a swing at Hall's ribcage but misses. Hall was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Meta lands a body shot.

Hall swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Meta connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hall. Hall circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Meta cracks Hall with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Meta comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meta feints a jab promting Hall to slip. Meta then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hall slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hall is rocked! Meta cracks Hall with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hall tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Meta pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hall is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
