Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Job Err (ranked 4329 p4p, 4188 weight class) and Slade Gentry (ranked 104 p4p, 151 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Job Err! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slade Gentry! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Err shoots in looking for a takedown but Gentry manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Err's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gentry is looking for the big counter here. Gentry stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gentry wants it to stay on the feet. Gentry tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Err paws at him with a jab and circles away. Err goes for a double leg but Gentry avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gentry continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Job Err. That's going to take a lot out of him. Err slowing the pace effectively. Err pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Err is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gentry must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gentry stands up over Err, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gentry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Err looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Err has Gentry pulled in close to control his posture. Gentry looking to sit in guard and control but Err gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gentry is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gentry is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Err is aware though and is defending well. Gentry is pulling down on Err's head. It's preventing any offense from Err, at least for the moment. Gentry not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Gentry tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Gentry tries to keep at a distance but Err has taken the fight into the clinch. Err tries to score a body lock takedown but Gentry shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Err drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gentry gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gentry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gentry fails with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Err closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Err looking to throw knees to the head but Gentry is blocking nicely.
Err has Gentry pressed against the cage, preventing Gentry from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Err jumps into guard, dragging Gentry to the mat.
Err keeping full guard, as Gentry tries to pass. Gentry drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Err manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gentry has Err in his guard. Err throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Err content to stall in guard here. Gentry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Err. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gentry wants to sweep here but Err controlling him for the moment. Err is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gentry can do to turn this around? Err stands up and waves to Gentry to follow him. Gentry avoids the head kick by Err.

"I don't think so" says Err as he avoids it easily. Err gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gentry counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gentry shoots in and drives through. Err sprawls well. Gentry shoots in for a double leg but Err sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Job Err has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slade Gentry. Gentry checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gentry wants to slow Err down by chopping away at his legs. Err takes a swing at Gentry's ribcage but misses. Err tries to close the distance and clinch but Gentry swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Err fails with the takedown and Gentry counters with a straight right hand. It looks like Job Err has been cut. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Err misses with a takedown attempt - Gentry sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Slade Gentry seems to be getting the better of the standup. Gentry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Err darts in and clinches Gentry up against the cage. Err breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Slade Gentry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Job Err is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gentry slaps away a takedown attempt from Err, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Job Err. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Err, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Rotel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Frost. Rotel throws a right hand that Frost ducks under and follows up with a left that Frost also avoids with ease. A nice side step and Frost releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Frost throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rotel. Bravo has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Bravo throwing strikes here but Wu is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Hamilton moves forwards but Walker connects with a nice, crisp jab. Walker lands with an uppercut that bounces Hamilton off the cage and back into range. Bundy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Withers defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bundy.

Bundy throws out a counter right but Withers avoids it with no problem. Bundy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bundy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Withers. Bundy does a little dance to reset his feet. Bundy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nice uppercut there from Bundy. Bundy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Withers has time to react. Withers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bundy was well out of range. Poor timing from Withers.

Ted Bundy dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Bundy fails to land the takedown. Bundy missing with a left hand there. Withers was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloppy strikes from Withers. Those never looked like landing. Bundy looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Bundy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

He's got his arms around Withers's waist but Withers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bundy off to one side. Withers tries to counter with a takedown but Bundy is quick to defend against it. Bundy's coach down at Xtreme Fighting Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bundy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Withers throws a hook but Bundy avoids it easily. Withers takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Bundy has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Withers misses the jab. Bundy looks like he wants to counter punch here.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Withers wants it to stay on the feet. Shaq Withers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Bundy. A lazy left from Bundy finds it's target. Bundy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Withers sprawls well. Withers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bundy gets slowly back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bundy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Withers swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ted Bundy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Withers takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Withers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Withers throwing a counter right hand but Bundy manages to avoid it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bundy is defended easily by Withers. Shaq Withers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Bundy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Withers walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
And that's the end of the fight! Ted Bundy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bundy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
