The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelius takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Halme takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Halme misses with a wild combination.
Aurelius misses with a right hand
and Halme counters with a left and a right that stings Aurelius.
Aurelius fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Aurelius takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Halme lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Aurelius throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aurelius misses with an uppercut.
Halme stalks Aurelius and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Aurelius's face. Aurelius staggers backwards, shaken.
Aurelius walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Halme checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Halme is looking to counter with a body kick.
Halme is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Aurelius hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Tony Halme!
After the fight, Tony Halme was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Oooooh!!! Draski has knocked Silva down with a huge combo! Draski steps away and waves a wobbly Silva back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Draski lands a big right hand that sends Silva crashing to the mat! Draski stays standing though and waves Silva back to his feet!

Draski lands a left and a right that send Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Draski thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Silva is rocked!
That has opened up Alex Silva's cut even more.
Draski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Draski.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Draski finish him?
Silva tries to clinch but Draski is having none of it.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.
Draski lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Silva up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Draski from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Silva's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Herrera throws a head kick that misses.

Herrera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Herrera shoots in looking for a takedown. Anjo tries to sprawl out of it but Herrera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anjo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Herrera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anjo avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anjo tries to keep at a distance but Herrera has taken the fight into the clinch.

Herrera's coach down at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Herrera's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Anjo shoots in and bounces Herrera off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Herrera can't keep his opponent in guard - Anjo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Anjo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Herrera is just riding it out for now. Anjo eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yoji Anjo Anjo.
