Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Miocic (ranked 1505 p4p, 2351 weight class) and Randall Dean (ranked 188 p4p, 278 weight class). Miocic comes to the cage accompanied by God Gave Me Style - 50 Cent. Randall Dean told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Miocic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Randall Dean! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miocic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dean darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Dean lands a jab. Dean swats away the attempt to clinch by Miocic. Miocic has managed to clinch.
Miocic tries to pull guard but Dean holds him up against the cage and eventually Miocic drops back down to his feet.
Dean lands a left hand.
Miocic tries to score a body lock takedown but Dean shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Miocic manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miocic working for a triangle but Dean defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miocic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dean has managed to get both his arms back between Miocic's legs - danger averted. Dean is stalling in the full guard. Miocic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dean gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Miocic had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dean defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Dean is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Miocic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dean is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miocic being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Miocic misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dean.
Dean checks the leg kick. Miocic closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dean's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miocic preventing the sweep. Dean seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Miocic looking to pass the guard. Miocic wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving. Miocic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dean tries to land a sweep but no joy. Miocic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dean swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dean seems keen to control Miocic's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Miocic wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Dean misses with a wild body shot. Miocic throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Miocic has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dean. Dean swats away the attempt to clinch by Miocic. Miocic on the wrong end of a nice jab. It looks like Jon Miocic has been cut. Jab, jab by Dean - just one landing. A chopping leg kick lands by Miocic. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miocic is looking to clinch. Miocic does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Miocic misses with a few strikes there.
Dean connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Randall Dean will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jon Miocic's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Dean tries to land a body kick and Miocic counters with a right hand to the body. Miocic walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dean checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Miocic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dean manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Miocic closes the distance looking to clinch and Dean counters with a stiff right hand. Dean clinches. Miocic drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Miocic tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dean just stands there and leans against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dean tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Miocic's elbow. Miocic gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Dean is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Miocic presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dean gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Miocic.

Miocic has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Dean is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dean gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Miocic.

Miocic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miocic looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Miocic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dean can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jon Miocic overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dean controlling from the top position. Dean is continuing to stall.

Dean clinches. Miocic tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Dean scores with a nice hook to the head. Dean lands a nice shot to the body. Miocic is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dean to keep the fight standing. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borrisinov throws an overhand right that lands on Murat's shoulder, as Murat tries to avoid the shot. Borrisinov throws a looping overhand right but Murat ducks down to avoid it. Borrisinov misses with a body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Murat misses the target. A big right from Borrisinov misses. Borrisinov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Nino looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A big right from Harklie misses. Nino lands a body shot.

Harklie swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nino. Nino slips under a jab from Harklie. Harklie throws an overhand right that lands on Nino's shoulder, as Nino tries to avoid the shot. A countering left hand to the body from Nino misses. Nino tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A jab from Harklie misses. A countering left hand to the body from Nino misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harklie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nino pushes Harklie away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Harklie gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Al Bundy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maron throws a hook to the side of Bundy's head but Bundy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
