With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sato Ngata! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matto Kaveri! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaveri tests Ngata's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kaveri scores with a three punch combo!
Ngata shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kaveri napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kaveri is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ngata off and has taken his back! Ngata knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kaveri on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kaveri has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Ngata! Can he survive? No! He's out! Kaveri gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vartija lunges at Hunter with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hunter's hand. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Vartija! Hunter is out on his feet! Vartija rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hunter is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hunter is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pereira missing with a left hand there. Ryokale was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Pereira checks a low kick from Ryokale. Pereira dives in and grabs Ryokale's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ryokale pushes down on Pereira's head and hops out. Pereira shoots for a double leg takedown but Ryokale sprawls well. He's pushed Pereira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ryokale ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. No luck for Pereira with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Pereira. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pereira scores with a jab. Ryokale acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Pereira fails in his attempt to clinch. Ryokale looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryokale tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pereira defends well and Ryokale ends up having to push Pereira into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Pereira is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Pereira punishes Ryokale's body with a nice straight punch. Pereira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryokale manages to avoid it. Pereira misses with a straight right. Ryokale wants to counter with a clinch but Pereira pushes him away.
Pereira dives in and scores a takedown into Ryokale's guard. Pereira keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ryokale's head. Pereira has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pereira controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Pereira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ryokale wants to stand up but Pereira is controlling him. Pereira tries to free his leg and advance position but Ryokale is retaining full guard. Ryokale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pereira wants to pass the guard but Ryokale is keeping the position. Pereira trying to control the position from guard on top but Ryokale is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ryokale wants to sweep but no luck.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ryokale is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pereira controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ryokale wants to sweep but no luck.
Ryokale is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pereira defends well. Pereira with a nice head shot there. Pereira lands a couple of digs. Pereira trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pereira stands and throws Ryokale's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ryokale is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pereira cracks Ryokale with a big right hand but Ryokale just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Pereira is working to tighten his grip on Ryokale's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ryokale has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pereira is really squeezing tight and eventually Ryokale passes out! Pereira breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frid ducks under a wild hook from Data. Data takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Frid scores with a shot to the body.

and Data decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Frid's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Data is looking to take a break and control but Frid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Data scoring with strikes to the body and head. Frid's coaches at The Tank Factory have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Frid looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Frid tries to get to full guard but Data has control of the leg. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Data lands a nice short elbow. Data lands with a punch from half guard. Data slips a nice elbow through Frid's hands, connecting with Frid's forehead.
Frid looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Frid taking some punishment here, with Data in his half guard. Data wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frid keeps working. Data uses his free foot to push down on Frid's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Frid. Frid tries to hold on but Data pushes him away. Frid is squirming around, avoiding Data's attempts to control the action.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Data lands a big shot there that rocks Frid but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Frid stands and throws Data's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. You can see the frustration on Data's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Data manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Frid wants to control but Data is keeping him busy. Data tries to roll over but Frid keeps him under control.

That was a close round but I would say that Kalle Frid will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Data has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Frid's face.

Frid is bucking up trying to escape but Data cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Data trying to control but he's not successful this time. Data postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Frid bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Data and the fight is over!

Williamson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Schmidt shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Will loads up on a big right hand but Schmidt slips the punch. Will lands a slapping body shot.

It seemed like Schmidt was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Patterson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Eklund's head. Eklund throws a low kick but Patterson moves out of range easily. It looked like Patterson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Eklund slips a jab from Patterson.
