Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Pitstain (ranked 24522 p4p, 24519 weight class) and Gaizka Elizondo (ranked 532 p4p, 491 weight class). Gaizka Elizondo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Pitstain on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pitstain looks to land a combination but Elizondo avoids it well.

and Elizondo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Pitstain is trying to push Elizondo away but Elizondo has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Pitstain throws a leg kick but Elizondo sees it coming and moves out of range.
Pitstain has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pitstain there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Elizondo counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Dobrov has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Adams is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Dobrov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Dobrov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Adams had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Dobrov feints with a jab and clips Adams right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Adams is sent crashing into the canvas and Dobrov leaps in for the kill! Pukki has an Americana. Jefferson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Pukki is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Pukki hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Wegner lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
