Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eli Vieira (ranked 2262 p4p, 4074 weight class) and Davide Farina (ranked 249 p4p, 409 weight class). Davide Farina struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Davide Farina! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.

He's obviously looking to slow Vieira down. Farina misses with an uppercut. Vieira saw that one coming. Farina moves out of range of the strikes. Farina loads up on a big right hand but Vieira slips the punch. Good leg kick by Farina. Farina turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Farina.
Farina tries to clinch there but Vieira circles away.
Vieira waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Farina. Despite the aggression on Farina's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Farina throws out a loose jab but Vieira uses good head movement to avoid it. Vieira fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vieira checks a leg kick. Vieira misses with a wild body shot. Farina throws a leg kick but Vieira sees it coming and moves out of range. Farina fails in his attempt to clinch. Farina connects with a leg kick.

Vieira blocks a leg kick. Farina misses with a lunging right hand
letting Vieira counter with a right hand. Vieira just misses with a punch to the body.
Vieira backing away here, and Farina unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Farina throws a hook but Vieira blocks it. Vieira on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Nice defenses there by Vieira. Davide Farina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Farina tries to clinch there but Vieira circles away.
Farina fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Vieira checks a leg kick. Vieira is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Farina throws out a loose jab but Vieira uses good head movement to avoid it. It looked like Vieira was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Farina.

Farina takes a swing at Vieira's ribcage but misses. Vieira swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Vieira keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Farina connects with the punch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Farina tries to clinch but Vieira is having none of it. Donk. Farina catches Vieira right on the button with a cross. Vieira ducks under a wild hook from Farina. Vieira missing with a left hand there. Farina was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Farina throws a looping overhand right but Vieira ducks down to avoid it. Farina with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Vieira is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Farina's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Farina tries a low kick but Vieira avoids it. A quick step to the side and Vieira tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Vieira counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Farina throws a leg kick that is checked and Vieira counters with a stiff right hand. Farina just misses with a punch to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vieira rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Farina counters with a slapping leg kick. Vieira wants to clinch. Farina misses with a shot to the body and Vieira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Vieira walks into a stiff left hand from Farina. Vieira moves out of range of the strikes. Farina swings and misses with a shot to the body and Vieira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A solid leg kick lands there for Farina.
Vieira throws a body shot but no joy. Farina misses the jab. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Davide Farina dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Farina throws a jab when Vieira was well out of range. It looked like Vieira wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Farina misses with a low kick. Davide Farina seems to be getting the better of the standup. Farina lands a jab to the nose. Farina throws a right hand that misses
and Farina takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Farina looks to throw the jab but Vieira is out of range. A low kick from Farina misses and Vieira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Farina tries to clinch up. Farina buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Farina misses with an uppercut. Vieira saw that one coming. Vieira swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Farina thows a leg kick but Vieira checks it and Vieira counters with a nice uppercut.
Farina is rocked! Farina swings and misses with a shot to the body letting Vieira counter with a right hand. Farina is still on wobbly legs! Can Vieira finish him? Farina on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Vieira drops Farina with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Farina! Vieira dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

He's pushed Mazepin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mazepin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gayweather counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Gayweather lands a big shot that drops Mazepin! Can he finish him?

That has opened up Fedor Mazepin's cut even more. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gayweather stays in close to Mazepin's body and controls the position.
Mazepin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gayweather is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mazepin. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Gayweather lands a nice forearm strike. Mazepin taking a bit of punishment here - Gayweather scoring with strikes.

Fedor Mazepin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Shima has one foot on Jackson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Shima tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Shima. Jackson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Shima defends it well. Shima misses with a lunging right hand
and Jackson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jackson.
Shima is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jackson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Jackson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson can't break the clinch.

Kanaani with a flurry of punches that miss. Kanaani has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peramaki is proving hard to escape from. Peramaki looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peramaki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Peramaki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kanaani manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Peramaki in particular looking to stall. Peramaki trying to mount his opponent but Kanaani defends it. Peramaki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Peramaki trying to control the pace.

We've been hearing good reports from Peramaki's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Peramaki uses his free foot to push down on Kanaani's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kanaani. Peramaki content just to control the position here.

Kanaani is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Kanaani has left one of his arms exposed and Peramaki doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Kanaani screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
