Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Dayne (ranked 25547 p4p, 5273 weight class) and Joaquin Chase (ranked 552 p4p, 512 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joaquin Chase was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arthur Dayne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joaquin Chase! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase tries to clinch up but Dayne circles away and keeps his distance. Chase darts in trying to clinch
and Dayne counters with a nice double leg into guard. Dayne wants to pass the guard but Chase is keeping the position.
Chase escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dayne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dayne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dayne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chase on the ground. Chase keeping moving, preventing Dayne from controlling successfully. Chase manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dayne manages to get himself to full guard.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Dayne is controlling Chase's posture.
Dayne is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chase defends well. Dayne on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dayne tries to get out of the position. Dayne working a defensive guard but Chase passes into half guard.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dayne controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Dayne is looking to control Chase's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dayne avoid being mounted? Dayne controlling the position for now. Dayne is not content to let Chase control the position.

Dayne desperately trying to maintain half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dayne has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chase is working away from the top position though. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dayne is controlling Chase's position as best he can from this difficult position.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Chase closes the distance but Dayne moves to the side
so Dayne counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Dayne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chase has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dayne has managed to get both his arms back between Chase's legs - danger averted. Dayne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chase swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dayne slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Chase throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Chase escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dayne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dayne tries to free his leg and advance position but Chase is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A close round but Joaquin Chase will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Chase goes for a double leg but Dayne avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dayne continues to drive forward. Chase fails with the takedown
and Dayne counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dayne. Chase looks to throw an elbow but misses. Chase jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dayne walks away with a smile on his face. Chase gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Arthur Dayne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquin Chase. Chase tries for a takedown but Dayne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A counter left hand to the body from Dayne misses its target. Dayne definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Dayne is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chase knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dayne looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Chase is looking for a sweep. Chase trying to control but Dayne flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! A lull in the action here.

Chase turns into Dayne and is now in his guard.
Chase throws an elbow that misses. Dayne uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chase's guard. Nice move by Dayne!

Chase escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dayne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Arthur Dayne overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Chase has his foot on Dayne's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dayne works his way back into a safe position though. Dayne looking to pass the guard. Chase thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Dayne drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dayne jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dayne has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dayne controlling from the top position. Dayne trying to control but Chase is working from the bottom. Dayne is trying to maintain the position but Chase is very close to passing his half guard. Chase thows a huge punch but Dayne dodges it nicely.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dayne is staying active underneath Chase, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Chase missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Chase is trying to control. Dayne wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dayne keeping hold of Chase's head, controlling as best he can. Dayne's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Dayne is trying to get back to full guard.

 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Chase doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dayne counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dayne. Arthur Dayne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joaquin Chase.
Chase ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chase no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Chase keeping moving, preventing Dayne from controlling successfully. Chase bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dayne's guard.
 Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chase pushes down on Dayne's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dayne blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chase.

It looks like Kimo Sabe has been cut. Sabe lands with a shot to the body. Tee Naught seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Naught throws a head kick but Sabe moves out of range.

Kat comes to the cage accompanied by Twisted Tales of Felix The Cat. Adriano Bucombo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bucombo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bucombo. Bucombo works over Kat's head and body with a nice combination. Kat showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bucombo.
Kat drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bucombo sprawls and moves away. We've been hearing reports that Kat has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A lazy body kick from Bucombo
and Kat decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bucombo's guard. Kat throwing strikes from guard but Bucombo blocks nicely. Salerno closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tant did well to prevent Salerno getting side control. Tant is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Salerno's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Salerno's back! Tant trying to control momentarily.
Tant has the hooks in. Salerno is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mwinshehe swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. James bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. James misses with a hook. Mwinshehe ducked under it nicely. James looks to throw a body kick and Mwinshehe counters with a stiff right hand. James has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mwinshehe finds it's way round the side to connect with James's head. James throws a sloppy head kick and Mwinshehe moves out of range easily. Mwinshehe swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. James looks to land a body kick but Mwinshehe moved away. James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. James moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Mwinshehe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A nice leg kick from James, right into the meat of the thigh.
James lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mwinshehe's sensitive parts. James throws a leg kick which misses Mwinshehe's front leg but catches the back leg as Mwinshehe tries to avoid it. Mwinshehe has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from James. James misses with a low kick.
James with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mwinshehe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mwinshehe misses with a wild body shot. James throws a quick counter kick to the body but Mwinshehe avoids it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. James misses with a lunging right hand
and Mwinshehe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mwinshehe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from James - the referee stops the clock and Mwinshehe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says James. Mwinshehe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. James throws a leg kick but Mwinshehe sees it coming and checks it nicely. James fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A solid leg kick lands there for James.
James has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Roosters Coop in the buildup to the fight. Mwinshehe's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. James lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
James is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. James lands a leg kick that knocks Mwinshehe off balance momentarily. Jab, jab by Mwinshehe - just one landing. Mwinshehe takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. James thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Mwinshehe if he has to take too many more of those.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A low kick from James is predictable there and Mwinshehe counters with a straight that turns James's legs to rubber! Mwinshehe pushes forward with more strikes and James goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tommy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Winters throws a shot from downtown. Tommy moves away and avoids it. Winters misses with a lunging right hand

and Tommy counters with a straight right hand. Winters misses with a body punch
enabling Tommy to counter with a crisp jab. Tommy drops his hands momentarily and Winters takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Winters misses with a hook. Tommy ducked under it nicely. Despite the aggression on Tommy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tommy thows a left - swing and a miss! Sloppy strikes from Tommy. Those never looked like landing. Winters is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Tommy's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Winters misses the jab. Despite the aggression on Tommy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tommy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Winters. Tommy defending well as Winters loads up on a big left hand. Tommy appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Winters definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Winters uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tommy. Winters is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Tommy missing with a left hand there. Winters was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Tommy throws a series of punches but Winters avoids them all with ease. Nice uppercut lands for Winters. That snapped Tommy's head back.
A jab from Winters misses. Tommy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Winters moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fighters circling - Tommy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. An attempted straight right counter from Winters misses the target. Tommy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A combination from Tommy does no damage. Winters is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Tommy swings for the body but Winters moves out of range.
Winters appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Winters slips under a jab. The fighters circling - Winters throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A little jabbing left from Tommy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Winters works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Tommy is rocked! Timmy Tommy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tommy misses with a body shot
and Winters counters with a right hand to the body. Tommy is still on wobbly legs! Can Winters finish him? Tommy looks winded! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Winters drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Tommy's head, knocking him out cold! Winters is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Momochi misses with the body kick and Cabal counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Momochi thinking. Momochi throws a looping overhand right but Cabal ducks down to avoid it. Cabal lands with a hook. Momochi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Cabal uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Momochi. Good leg kick by Momochi. Cabal misses the shot to the body. Momochi misses with a kick to the body.
Momochi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Momochi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cabal. Momochi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cabal. Luca Cabal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Momochi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Cabal definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Cabal lands a right hook to the body.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cooke fails to land with a series of punches.
August Cooke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Buffs avoids a punch combination nicely.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

He's got his arms around Cooke's waist but Cooke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buffs off to one side. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cooke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. As Buffs looks to move away, Cooke throws a big counter combo but Buffs just gets out of the way. Buffs shoots in for a takedown but Cooke shows good takedown defense.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
