 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joao Diaz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kontiainen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kontiainen gets through Joao Diaz's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Kontiainen lands a left hand that snaps the head of Joao Diaz backwards.
It looks like Charles Joao Diaz has been cut. Kontiainen makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Kontiainen lands with a light punch inside. Kontiainen lands a shoulder strike. Kontiainen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Joao Diazs head. Kontiainen lands with a left to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kontiainen lands a shoulder strike. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naruesorn Chaiyachue! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francois Bourbon! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaiyachue looking to score a takedown here. Bourbon is defending well but Chaiyachue drives through and ends up in Bourbon's guard. Bourbon wants to sweep but no luck. Bourbon trying to keep a closed guard but Chaiyachue is proving a slippery customer.
Chaiyachue wants to control from the top but Bourbon keeps moving. Chaiyachue stopping the sweep attempt from Bourbon. Bourbon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Chaiyachue throws a big right hand that misses. Bourbon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chaiyachue stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bourbon swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bourbon working a defensive guard here.

Bourbon moves into the clinch successfully.
Bourbon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Chaiyachue to keep the fight standing. Bourbon avoiding damage as Chaiyachue throws knees to the body.
Chaiyachue crunches a lovely knee into Bourbon's ribcage. Chaiyachue tries to land knees in the clinch but Bourbon avoids the damage to the body. Chaiyachue missing with knees to the body.
Chaiyachue gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bourbon.
Chaiyachue digs a right hand into Bourbon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Bourbon's gas tank.
Bourbon gets control of Chaiyachue's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bourbon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bourbon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chaiyachue gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bourbon looks winded! Bourbon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bourbon is working an open guard so Chaiyachue takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Chaiyachue gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Chaiyachue is pressed up against the cage. Bourbon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chaiyachue down to the mat. Chaiyachue avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Naruesorn Chaiyachue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francois Bourbon.
Chaiyachue fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bourbon, pushing him back against the cage. Bourbon on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chaiyachue gets to his feet. Bourbon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Bourbon has his takedown stuffed and Chaiyachue counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Francois Bourbon has been cut. Chaiyachue looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Chaiyachue gets in close and instigates a clinch. Chaiyachue using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Chaiyachue gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Chaiyachue would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Chaiyachue stands and steps away. Bourbon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Chaiyachue rushes Bourbon and presses him up against the cage. Chaiyachue has Bourbon pressed against the cage, preventing Bourbon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Chaiyachue pulls guard. Chaiyachue wants to get back to his feet but Bourbon is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bourbon is standing up over Chaiyachue. Chaiyachue looks to escape but Bourbon dives into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Chaiyachue tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bourbon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Chaiyachue struggling a bit here. Chaiyachue is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Bourbon is looking for a kimura here.
Bourbon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Chaiyachue to stand up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Naruesorn Chaiyachue dominated that round. The cut man is working on Francois Bourbon's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bourbon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Chaiyachue is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bourbon dives into side control.
Chaiyachue takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Bourbon has control of an arm but Chaiyachue manages to advance to Bourbon's back! I would not like to be Bourbon right now.
Bourbon really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Chaiyachue's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position. Chaiyachue knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bourbon on the ground. Chaiyachue keeps control of the position as Bourbon tries to break free.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Bourbon staying busy and making it hard for Chaiyachue to control. Bourbon is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Chaiyachue.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Chaiyachue not allowing Bourbon to control his hands. Bourbon breaks Chaiyachue's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Chaiyachue pulls Bourbon in to control the position. Bourbon stops Chaiyachue from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chaiyachue managing to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bourbon works a leg free and moves into half guard. Chaiyachue is holding on to half guard well. Chaiyachue is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Bourbon decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Bourbon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chaiyachue tries to avoid it but Bourbon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chaiyachue to the ground. Chaiyachue escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Chaiyachue tries to clinch but Bourbon moves out of range. Bourbon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Nice takedown defense from Chaiyachue. No joy for Bourbon on that attempt. Francois Bourbon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bourbon is breathing heavily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bourbon. Naruesorn Chaiyachue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francois Bourbon.

Chaiyachue closes the distance and clinches. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chaiyachue here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Bourbon is trying to stall.
Chaiyachue gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bourbon regains guard.
Chaiyachue is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bourbon can do to turn this around? Bourbon wants to stand up but Chaiyachue is controlling him.

Bourbon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Chaiyachue wants to stand but Bourbon has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Chaiyachue wants to control from the top but Bourbon keeps moving.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Chaiyachue shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bourbon pinned against the cage. Bourbon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Naruesorn Chaiyachue is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Crocop fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Crocop tries for a takedown but Anderson circles away easily and Anderson counters with a three punch combo that has Crocop backing up. Crocop nods at Anderson to acknowledge the strikes. Sparky Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turner Crocop. Anderson throws a series of punches but Crocop moves out of range. Crocop with the counter takedown but Anderson avoids it easily. Crocop shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Crocop misses with a takedown and Anderson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crocop drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Crocop walks into a stiff left hand from Anderson. Jab, jab by Anderson - just one landing. Crocop fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Anderson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Crocop has a takedown stuffed. Turner Crocop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Crocop uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Anderson.
Crocop shoots and misses and Anderson counters with a one-two to the body. Crocop darts in looking for a takedown but Anderson gets double underhooks and turns Crocop into the cage. A nice combination there by Anderson.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anderson throws a looping overhand right but Crocop ducks down to avoid it. Crocop tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Anderson defends well and Crocop ends up having to push Anderson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Crocop gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Anderson counters with a stiff right hand. Anderson throws a jab when Crocop was well out of range. Sparky Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crocop fails with the takedown and Anderson counters with a right hand to the body. A lazy left from Anderson finds it's target. Crocop slips under a jab. Crocop with a lazy takedown attempt and Anderson counters with a nice uppercut. Anderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crocop is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Crocop gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Anderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson scores with the left hand. Crocop knows he should have avoided that one. Anderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anderson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Crocop looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Crocop shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Anderson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Anderson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Crocop closes the distance and clinches up with Anderson, looking for a takedown. Crocop pushes Anderson against the cage but Anderson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Crocop keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Crocop with the counter takedown but Anderson avoids it easily. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Anderson, as that shot connected.
Anderson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Crocop under the eye. Good shot there by Anderson. Anderson tests Crocop's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Turner Crocop has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Crocop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anderson as he avoids it easily. Some wild striking there from Anderson.

Crocop changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Anderson lands with an overhand left. Anderson connects with a single shot there. Crocop misses with a takedown attempt and Anderson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Anderson throws a series of punches but Crocop moves out of range. Crocop with the counter takedown but Anderson avoids it easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Crocop is defended easily by Anderson. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Crocop ducks under a wild hook from Anderson. Sparky Anderson is winning the standup battle so far. Crocop will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Anderson throws a hook but Crocop blocks it. Crocop uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Anderson. Crocop misses with a takedown attempt and Anderson counters with a lovely shot to the body. We've been informed that Crocop has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Crocop shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. An attempted straight right counter from Anderson misses the target. Sparky Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turner Crocop. Crocop tries for a takedown but Anderson circles away easily and Anderson counters with a left and a right that stings Crocop. Anderson throws a jab but it's blocked by Crocop. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson fails to land with a series of punches.

It looked like Anderson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Anderson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstey drives through with a takedown into guard. Anstey wants to control from the top but Oyama keeps moving. Oyama preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Anstey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Oyama is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Anstey passes Oyama's left leg - he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oyama taking some punishment here, with Anstey in his half guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Oyama tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anstey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Oyama lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shima kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shima cracks Kovacs with a good jab. Shima displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kovacs throws out the jab. Shima misses with a series of wild punches.

Shima is looking to counter punch. Kovacs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Shima darts in and out, connecting with a jab. A head kick misses from Kovacs.
