Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Smash Adams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Derrick Smith! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Smith clinches up against the cage. Adams looking for a takedown. Smith misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Adams is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Smash Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith wants to get back to striking at distance but Adams won't allow it.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Adams is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Adams on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Smith clinches up with Adams and pushes him back against the cage. Adams goes for a takedown attempt but Smith pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Adams takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Adams shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.

Adams tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Adams has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Adams landing strikes.

Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Adams, pushing him back against the cage. Adams has Smith pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Smith manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Smith misses with an elbow over the top.

Smith ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Smith no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Adams postures up.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Mitchell might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Page scores with the left hand. Mitchell knows he should have avoided that one. Page misses with a body shot.

Page is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mitchell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Page is still on wobbly legs! Can Mitchell finish him? Mitchell lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Page head around and knocks him out cold! Mitchell hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka misses with a straight right. Penn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Penn checks a low kick from Tanaka.
Penn drops Tanaka with a beautiful combination! Tanaka stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Penn is looking for the KO!
Tanaka is rocked! Penn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tanaka is still on wobbly legs! Can Penn finish him? Penn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tanaka was well out of range. Poor timing from Penn. Tanaka finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Penn throws a nice looking combination but Tanaka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Penn feints with a jab and clips Tanaka right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Tanaka is sent crashing into the canvas and Penn leaps in for the kill! Tanaka tries to get to his feet but Penn is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Tanaka is in need of a savior and steps in!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Emelianenko throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Emelianenko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hooper drops down looking for a counter takedown but Emelianenko sprawls and moves away. Emelianenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hooper fails to land with a series of punches.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kidd scores with a body shot.
Gorgodze is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kidd sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kidd cracks Gorgodze with a right hand to the side of the head. Kidd scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kidd looks to score with a jab to the body but Gorgodze is just out of range. And Gorgodze tries to counter it with a takedown but Kidd pushes his down on his head and steps out. Gorgodze looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kidd lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Gorgodze shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kidd defends it nicely. William Kidd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giorgi Gorgodze. Gorgodze shoots and misses and Kidd makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kidd ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kidd has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA in the buildup to the fight. Gorgodze tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kidd defends well and Gorgodze ends up having to push Kidd into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nice straight punches there by Kidd. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kidd. Gorgodze takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The ref calls for Kosar to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
