Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Clay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Burns! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns takes the fight into the clinch.
Burns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Burns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clay swivels and escapes. Clay stuffs the takedown attempt from Burns. Burns gets slowly back to his feet. A head kick by Burns misses and Clay makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Clay shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burns defends it nicely. Clay throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clay tries to clinch up but Burns circles away and keeps his distance. Burns feints the counter takedown. Clay throws a right and a left that both miss. Clay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Clay stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Horrible takedown attempt by Burns or perhaps it was just good defense by Clay, which made it look bad. Ross Clay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Burns.
Clay closes the distance and pushes Burns back into the cage.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolfe shoots in but no luck this time. It looked like Jacobson Ill was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wolfe. Wolfe misses with a takedown attempt - Jacobson Ill sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jacobson Ill tries to sprawl but Wolfe drives through with a takedown into half guard. Wolfe is pressing down on Jacobson Ill's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jacobson Ill is holding on for now. Jacobson Ill is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at 3Band MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Jacobson Ill trying to get back to full guard but Wolfe takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Jacobson Ill has given up his back - I don�t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Bailek closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rivera tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bailek wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JR manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Patterson on his heels. He'll look to pass Patterson's guard now, I'm sure. Patterson is trying to keep JR in close.
JR stops Patterson from standing up. JR landing with the ground and pound. JR lands a couple of decent looking shots. JR trying to control but Patterson is working from the bottom. JR stands up over Patterson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. JR throws a big right hand that misses. And Rotiz tries to counter it with a takedown but Chester pushes his down on his head and steps out. Rotiz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mike Chester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Toti Rotiz. Rotiz slips a straight right by Chester. Belmiro fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Garrone to the ground. Belmiro is now in Garrone's guard. Garrone has momentary wrist control but Belmiro slips an elbow through the middle. Belmiro working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Garrone is trying to keep Belmiro in close.
Belmiro avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Belmiro lands a couple of decent looking shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belmiro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Belmiro with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Belmiro advances to half guard.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
