These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lonny Seven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darren Tolbert! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tolbert throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Seven sees it coming and avoids it easily. Tolbert lands a jab to Seven's midsection. Seven has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Trials Of Fortitude in the buildup to the fight. Seven thuds a left hand into Tolbert's body. Seven just misses with a punch to the body.
Tolbert tries to move into range but Seven moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Darren Tolbert has been cut. Seven fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tolbert manages to avoid it. Tolbert with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Seven to score with a decent uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tolbert lands with a shot to the body.
Seven gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tolbert to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tolbert wants to control from the top but Seven keeps moving.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tolbert preventing the sweep. Tolbert works over Seven with some ground and pound from guard. Tolbert trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Seven utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tolbert wants to control from the top but Seven keeps moving. Tolbert has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tolbert is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tolbert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seven swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tolbert cracks Seven with a solid left hand. Tolbert wants to pass the guard but Seven is keeping the position. Tolbert controls from within his opponent's guard. Tolbert throws a big right hand that misses. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Seven looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Seven keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Seven avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Tolbert looks to score with a jab to the body but Seven is just out of range. A lazy left from Seven finds it's target. Nice shot by Tolbert. Tolbert scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Tolbert connects with a looping right hand.
Seven misses with a hook. Tolbert ducked under it nicely. Nice shot by Tolbert. Tolbert takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Seven gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Lonny Seven has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tolbert connects with the punch. Tolbert throws a hook to the side of Seven's head but Seven sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A little feinted left hand from Seven on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Seven misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Tolbert counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Seven is rocked! A combination from Tolbert does no damage. Oh Seven is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Seven uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Seven misses with a lunging right hand
and Tolbert counters with a big left hand that crumples Seven! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Darren Tolbert! Darren Tolbert decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. Jones throws a push kick but King slaps the foot to one side. Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces King off the cage and back into range. Joshua Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones throws the left hand but King avoids the punch easily. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. King looks like he wants to counter punch here. King moves out of range of the strikes. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts King as he jumps to the side. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones misses with an uppercut
and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Joshua Jones has been cut. King connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones scores with a nice right hand.

King missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jones tries to counter by clinching up but King breaks away and moves out of range. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. King now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it. King jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well.
Jones is rocked! King circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! King drops Jones with a huge uppercut! Jones drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. King is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yama throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Key stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Key throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yama sees it coming and avoids it easily. Key lands a jab to the head.
Yama avoids a punch combination nicely.
Yama drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Key defends it well. Yama takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Key drives through with a takedown into guard. Key pushing down on Yama's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Key prevents Yama from improving his position. Key thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Key throws a strike but Yama avoids it easily and moves to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yama wants to control but Key passes easily into half guard.

Yama is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Yama looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Key throws a big elbow that misses. Yama wants to sweep but no luck.

Key has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Key throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Yama can't do much from the bottom here. Key working the ground and pound but Yama is defending the strikes. Key wants to control but Yama is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yama can't do much from the bottom here. Yama is rocked! Key loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Yama scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Key land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Key stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jaro Key! A relieved looking Jaro Key thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

and Jokinen counters with a single leg into guard. Bits didn't expect that. Jokinen wants to control from the top but Bits keeps moving. Jokinen throws an elbow that misses. Bits uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jokinen's guard. Nice move by Bits!
 Bits must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jokinen has his foot on Bits's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bits works his way back into a safe position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jokinen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bits gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jokinen has his feet on Bits's thighs here. He's pushed Bits off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Bits screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Gibson tries to bum rush Leaf with a series of wild strikes but Leaf uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Leaf feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gibsons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Leaf fails to land with a series of punches.
Gibson slips under a jab from Leaf. Gibson tries to counter with a takedown but Leaf is quick to defend against it. Gibson misses with a body shot.
Leaf looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Gibson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

and Leaf counters with a nice right hand that sends Gibson toppling to the canvas! Gibson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Leaf finish him?!
Gibson is rocked! A telegraphed right hand from Leaf misses the target. Gibson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gibson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Leaf. Leaf throws a jab but it's blocked by Gibson. Gibson throwing a counter right hand but Leaf manages to avoid it. Leaf jabbing away but nothing is landing. Leaf uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gibson. Gibson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Leaf. Leaf avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Leaf looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Gibson goes for a double leg but Leaf avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Leaf continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brody Gibson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leaf scores with an uppercut up the middle. Gibson gets underhooks to prevent Leaf's takedown attempt.
 That's five minutes gone in the round. Gibson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Gibson lands a body shot in the clinch.

Leaf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Leaf looks to land a left hand but Gibson moved out of range nicely. Gibson slips a straight right by Leaf. Gibson tries to counter with a takedown but Leaf is quick to defend against it. Leaf throws a right hand that Gibson ducks under and follows up with a left that Gibson also avoids with ease. Decent striking displayed by Gibson there. Leaf steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gibson. Leaf looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

 That's six minutes gone in the round. Leaf looks to throw the jab but Gibson is out of range. Gibson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Leaf enables Gibson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Leaf manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Leaf is still in real trouble! Can Gibson finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gibson lands a couple of digs. Gibson working some strikes from top position. Gibson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Gibson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Leaf is trying to keep Gibson in close.
Leaf can't keep his opponent in guard - Gibson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Leaf has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gibson is working away from the top position though.
Gibson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leaf is just riding it out for now. Gibson eventually gives up the hold. Gibson works his way into full mount! Gibson cracks Leaf with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brody Gibson! A very excited looking Brody Gibson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

It looks like Cottoneye Joe has been cut. Joe takes a body punch but keeps moving. Yobachukwu misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Joe counters with a left to the body. Yobachukwu throws a combination that misses and Yobachukwu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Joe throws a jab but it's blocked by Yobachukwu. Yobachukwu throws a nice outside leg kick. Joe ducks under a wild hook from Yobachukwu. Yobachukwu tries to close the distance and clinch but Joe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Yobachukwu throws a right hand that Joe ducks under and follows up with a left that Joe also avoids with ease. Yobachukwu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Joe manages to avoid it. Joe slaps away a takedown attempt from Yobachukwu, before circling back to the center of the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Yobachukwu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Joe is out of range and Yobachukwu settles back down. Joe was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Yobachukwu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Joe connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Joe delivers a nice body kick. Yobachukwu falls off balance throwing a combination
and Joe moves into the clinch.

Yobachukwu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Yobachukwu doesn't manage to clinch there - Joe circles away.
Cottoneye Joe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yobachukwu moves in looking to clinch but Joe pushes him off. Yobachukwu throws a combination that misses and Joe counters with a body kick that stops Yobachukwu in his tracks momentarily. Joe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yobachukwu circles away quickly and effectively. Yobachukwu looks to land a left hand but Joe moved out of range nicely.
