Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Barnett (ranked 503 p4p, 76 weight class) and Charles Hawtry (ranked 350 p4p, 52 weight class). Barnett comes to the cage accompanied by Move. Hawtry has chosen The Rain as his entrance music. Charles Hawtry has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Buddy Barnett's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hawtry with the counter takedown but Barnett avoids it easily. Hawtry sizes up Barnett with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Barnett is looking to clinch but Hawtry is avoiding it.
Barnett shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Barnett was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Barnett lands some shots froms side control. Hawtry is trying to improve his position. Hawtry sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hawtry is looking to control Barnett's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hawtry avoid being mounted? Barnett feints and as Hawtry raises his hands in defense, Barnett changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hawtry is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hawtry looking for a guillotine here but Barnett defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hawtry cracks Barnett with a solid left hand. Hawtry preventing the sweep. Hawtry chips away with some ground and pound.
Barnett is rocked! Barnett controls Hawtry momentarily but Hawtry frees himself. Oh Barnett is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hawtry loads up on a big left hand. Barnett felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hawtry looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Barnett can't hide his disappointment, as Hawtry celebrates the victory.
