Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Link Gaetz (ranked 151 p4p, 21 weight class) and Ryan Riggs (ranked 233 p4p, 35 weight class). Link Gaetz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gaetz lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Ryan Riggs has been cut.
Riggs avoids the body shot from Gaetz.
Riggs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gaetz as he jumps to the side.
Riggs closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gaetz circles away.
Riggs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gaetz.
Riggs will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've been told by Gaetz's head coaches at Guerrilla MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gaetz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gaetz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Riggs now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Riggs looks for a takedown but Gaetz sprawls well.
Link Gaetz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Riggs.

Gaetz swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Riggs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gaetz throws a body punch but Riggs moves out of range.
Riggs unleashes a big counter combination but Gaetz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Gaetz scores with a punch to the head.
Gaetz tries to sprawl but Riggs drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gaetz is trying to stand.
Riggs works his way into side control.
Gaetz wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Gaetz parries the strikes from Riggs easily there. Riggs is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gaetz to escape.
Gaetz wants to get back to his feet but Riggs drags him back down.

Gaetz takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Riggs is putting a hurting on Gaetz here, landing some big shots from side control.
Gaetz is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Riggs is controlling him well.

Riggs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Riggs throws the left hand but Gaetz avoids the punch easily.

That has opened up Ryan Riggs's cut even more.
Gaetz throws an overhand right that lands on Riggs's shoulder, as Riggs tries to avoid the shot.

and Gaetz counters with a nice uppercut.
Riggs throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Gaetz to counter with a crisp jab.
Gaetz lands with a shot to the body.
Riggs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gaetz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Riggs replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Gaetz blocks it well.
Gaetz lands a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riggs shoots and misses
and Gaetz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Riggs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gaetz avoids it really well and circles away.
Riggs avoids the body shot from Gaetz.
Riggs is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Riggs stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gaetz.
Riggs takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Riggs throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Riggs slips under a jab from Gaetz.
Gaetz listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
The cut above Ryan Riggs's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gaetz is looking to slow Riggs down with leg kicks.
Riggs cracks Gaetz with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gaetz paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gaetz bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jab, jab by Gaetz - just one landing.
Riggs on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gaetz. Gaetz obviously looking to wear him down.
Riggs misses with a takedown attempt - Gaetz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Riggs, as that shot connected.

Ryan Riggs's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Gaetz pushes Riggs away with a front kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gaetz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Riggs at a distance.
Riggs might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Riggs takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Riggs crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gaetz - the referee stops the clock and Riggs gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gaetz. Riggs manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Gaetz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Riggs is still on wobbly legs! Can Gaetz finish him?
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ryan Riggs's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Link Gaetz!
An out of breath Link Gaetz thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
