The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with an uppercut.
Da Costa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Da Costa ducks down to avoid it.
Da Costa slips a jab from Jones.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Da Costa checks a leg kick.
Da Costa tries to counter by closing the distance.
A jab from Jones misses.
Nice body punch from Jones.
Jones throws a hook but Da Costa blocks it.
Jones throws a body shot but no joy.
Da Costa is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Da Costa tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Da Costa takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Tiago Da Costa has been cut.
Jones has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fight Factory in the buildup to the fight.

Da Costa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Da Costa thinks about the counter body kick.
Da Costa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A quick step to the side and Jones tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
David Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiago Da Costa.
A lazy left from Jones finds it's target.
That has opened up Tiago Da Costa's cut even more.

Jones is looking to slow Da Costa down with leg kicks.
Jones digs a good hook to Da Costa's body.
David Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The cut above Tiago Da Costa's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Da Costa uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones drops Da Costa with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Da Costa looks back up at him and smiles so Jones waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Da Costa is rocked!

David Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Da Costa has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones.
Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Da Costa shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Da Costa walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Jones! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
