The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rodgers misses with a low kick.
Rodgers tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Rodgers wants to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Silva! But no joy.
Rodgers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rodgers appears to be looking for a big counter.
Silva scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rodgers doesn't seem bothered though.
Silva looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rodgers has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Silva scores with a nice short uppercut.
Silva tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva tries to work over Rodgers's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rodgers has had enough of the clinch but Silva keeps him there for the moment.
Rodgers definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Silva unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Rodgers! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Silva is unloading with more strikes now! Rodgers drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
