Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jolly Roger (ranked 1298 p4p, 185 weight class) and Tony Stark (ranked 1220 p4p, 34 weight class). Roger comes to the cage accompanied by Under Jolly Roger. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jolly Roger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Stark! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roger misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Roger pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Stark shoots in but Roger avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stark shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Roger defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roger drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Roger postures up in Stark's guard and throws a big left but Stark blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stark keeping moving, preventing Roger from controlling successfully. Stark is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Roger trying to move into half guard but instead Stark has managed to sweep! Stark postures up in Roger's guard and throws a big left but Roger blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stark preventing the sweep. Roger keeping full guard, as Stark tries to pass. Roger pulls Stark in close to his closed guard and prevents Stark from doing any damage or advancing position. Roger is trying to control the position but Stark postures up. Stark throws a big right hand that misses. Roger lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Roger avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stark throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Roger cracks Stark with a solid left hand. Roger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stark has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roger has managed to get both his arms back between Stark's legs - danger averted. Roger throws a strike but Stark rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Roger is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stark won't allow Roger to sweep him here. Roger seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Stark postures up.
Stark landing some decent shots from guard. My spies in London MMA Club inform me that Stark has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Roger not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Roger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Roger manages to kick Stark off! Stark jumps back into Roger's guard. Roger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stark throwing strikes from guard but Roger blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stark is looking to work some ground and pound but Roger has wrist control. Roger controls Stark momentarily but Stark frees himself. Roger lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Roger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stark throwing strikes from guard but Roger blocks nicely. Roger preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stark loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stark working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Roger lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Stark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stark tries to land a sweep but no joy. Roger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roger postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Roger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stark has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! Tony Stark dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Stark closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Roger did well to prevent Stark getting side control. Stark has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stark is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Roger has managed to free his arm - good work. Stark is pressing down on Roger's thigh, looking to free his foot. Roger is holding on for now. Roger has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stark is working away from the top position though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stark throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Stark is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Roger defends it well. Stark maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Roger could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Stark has cracked it and Roger is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Stark!
