Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Randalman (ranked 503 p4p, 79 weight class) and Dropkick Flexy (ranked 873 p4p, 125 weight class). Randalman's entrance music is Creedence Clearwater - Fortunate Son. A fine choice. Flexy has chosen Big Thing as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Randalman!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dropkick Flexy!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randalman throws the kick towards the body but Flexy avoids it.
Flexy with the counter takedown but Randalman avoids it easily.

Flexy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Randalman!
Randalman manages to get back to half guard.
Flexy looks to land a strike but Randalman avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Flexy with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flexy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Randalman is on top in guard.

Randalman is stalling in the full guard.

Randalman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Randalman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Flexy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Flexy looking for a guillotine here but Randalman defends easily.

Flexy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randalman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Flexy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Flexy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Randalman escapes and throws Flexy's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Flexy takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Randalman has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Flexy!

Randalman with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Flexy is looking to improve his position but Randalman isn't that keen on the idea.

Flexy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Flexy keeps trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randalman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Flexy turns into him and now he's in Randalman's guard.
Flexy looking to sit in guard and control but Randalman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Flexy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Randalman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Randalman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Randalman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Randalman passes Flexy's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Flexy tries to get to full guard but Randalman has control of the leg.

Flexy looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Flexy on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Randalman in particular looking to stall.
Flexy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Randalman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Randalman's back!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Flexy is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Randalman is defending well though. Flexy let's go of the attempt for now.

Flexy is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Randalman defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

That was a close round but I would say that Randy Randalman will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Flexy moves out of range of the leg kick from Randalman.
Randalman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Randalman looks for the body kick but Flexy saw that one coming.
And Flexy tries to counter it with a takedown but Randalman pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Flexy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Randalman is looking for a sweep.

Flexy is trying to get an arm triangle but Randalman is defending well.
Flexy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Flexy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Flexy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flexy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Randalman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Randalman manages to work his way to half guard, despite Flexy's best efforts.

Flexy throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Randalman holds on and takes a little breather.
Randalman is trying to keep Flexy in close.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Randalman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Flexy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Randalman sprawls well initially but Flexy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Flexy is looking for a kimura here.

Dropkick Flexy has got the better of the ground game so far.

Flexy seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Randalman is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Dropkick Flexy!
Dropkick Flexy is the new welterweight champion!
A relieved looking Dropkick Flexy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
