Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 1118 p4p, 158 weight class) and Martin Alexander (ranked 842 p4p, 129 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Martin Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander drives through and clinches with Burgundy against the cage.
We've been informed that Alexander has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Burgundy blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Our sources have told us that Burgundy has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Burgundy goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Alexander scores with an uppercut up the middle.
It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut.
Burgundy throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Burgundy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Alexander has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Burgundy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Alexander breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Burgundy tries to clinch but Alexander is having none of it.
Alexander scores with a shot to the body.

Alexander lands a big right hand that sends Burgundy crashing to the mat! Alexander stays standing though and waves Burgundy back to his feet!
Alexander works Burgundy's body with a nice hook.
Burgundy is breathing heavily.
Alexander lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Burgundy is rocked!
Alexander throws a pinpoint strike between Burgundy's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Burgundy crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Alexander scores a great knockout victory!
