A decent looking cross lands there for Mcphee.
Mcphee jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mcphee throws a leg kick that misses.
Mcphee lands a body shot.
Mcphee throws out a powerful jab.
Mcphee scores with a body shot.
Mcphee misses with a looping right.
Mcphee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mcphee was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Thai has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Mcphee misses the shot to the body.
Thai with the counter takedown but Mcphee avoids it easily.
Mcphee cracks Thai with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The fighters circling - Mcphee throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mcphee tests Thai's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Thai is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mcphee sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dougie Mcphee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mcphee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Thais jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Thai displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mcphee throws out the jab.
Mcphee scores with a jab. Thai acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Mcphee bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Mcphee connects with a body shot that sends Thai's belly button to the back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcphee jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Thai tries for a takedown but Mcphee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Thai uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mcphee.
Thai is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We've been told by Mcphee's head coaches at Bad Education that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Mcphee lands a head shot.
Mcphee is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
A good leg kick by Mcphee.
No luck for Thai with that takedown attempt.

Mcphee turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Thai shoots in and drives through. Mcphee sprawls well.
Mcphee swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Thai looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Mcphee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Thai at a distance.
Mcphee takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mcphee throws a nice looking combination but Thai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Thai feints the counter takedown.
Mcphee loads up on a big right hand but Thai slips the punch.

Mcphee throws a body punch but Thai moves out of range.
Mcphee scores with a sloppy right hand. Thai should have avoided that one.
Thai with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mcphee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mcphee. Thai does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thai now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Mcphee throws out a loose jab but Thai uses good head movement to avoid it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mcphee punishes Thai's body with a nice straight punch.
Thai tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mcphee counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mcphee jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Thai gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Thai takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dougie Mcphee dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Thai walks into a jab.
Mcphee lands a glancing blow to the side of Thai's head.
Mcphee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thai.
Thai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcphee pinned against the cage. Mcphee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mcphee connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Thai momentarily.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Thai might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Mcphee has got the better of the exchanges.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

so Thai counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Thai tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcphee is retaining full guard.
Mcphee seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Thai pushing down on Mcphee's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Thai wants to work for an arm triangle but Mcphee is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Mcphee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thai on the ground.
Mcphee is trying to stand.
Thai passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mcphee!

Thai looking for a guillotine from mount but Mcphee is having none of it.

Thai has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Mcphee is forced to tap!
