Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Greg Connor (ranked 2696 p4p, 4080 weight class) and Steven Pelican (ranked 298 p4p, 416 weight class). Connor comes to the cage accompanied by Cherub Rock. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Pelican on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Steven Pelican has been cut.
Pelican gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pelican walks into a straight right hand from Connor.
Connor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pelican stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pelican is looking to clinch but Connor is avoiding it.
Connor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pelican moves away.
Pelican with the counter takedown but Connor avoids it easily.
Pelican walks into a stiff left hand from Connor.
Pelican is rocked!
Connor measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Pelican ! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
