Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Stone (ranked 372 p4p, 297 weight class) and Benson Whyte (ranked 57 p4p, 46 weight class). Whyte has chosen Bob Marley - Jammin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benson Whyte!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Stone tries a low kick but Whyte avoids it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Whyte! But no joy.
Whyte misses with a hook
and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stone lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Stone lands a head shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Whyte throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Whyte takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Stone motions for Whyte to come forward. Stone throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Stone throws the left hand but Whyte avoids the punch easily.
Whyte shapes to counter with a head kick.
Whyte misses with a jab to the body
and Stone counters with a solid body kick.
Stone throws a low kick but Whyte avoids it.
Whyte feints a counter leg kick.
Whyte slips under a jab from Stone.
Whyte raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Whyte has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Benson Whyte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Whyte looks to land a body kick but Stone moved away.
Stone is looking to counter with a body kick.
Stone takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Stone seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

and Whyte counters with a straight right hand.
Whyte misses with a leg kick
and Stone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Whyte looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Whyte throws a jab but it's blocked by Stone.
Stone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

and Stone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Whyte scores with a hook to the body. Stone takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

A decent looking cross lands there for Whyte.
Whyte loads up on a big right hand but Stone slips the punch.
Stone appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Whyte throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Stone counter with a right hand.
Stone takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Whyte scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Whyte scoring well with a low kick there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Stone will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Stone moves out of range of the strikes.
Stone was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Stone ducks under a wild hook from Whyte.
Whyte misses with a hook
and Stone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Stone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Whyte throws out the jab.

Stone throws the left hand but Whyte avoids the punch easily.

and Stone makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Whyte throws a jab when Stone was well out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Stone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Stone staying out of range there.
Whyte bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stone's head.
Whyte throws a hook to the side of Stone's head but Stone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Whyte lands a big head kick that sends Stone tumbling to the mat! Whyte takes a step backwards and waves Stone back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Jack Stone has been cut.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Stone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Stone scores with a counter punch that sends Whyte to the canvas! Stone smells blood - he's punishing Whyte with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Whyte has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Stone!
A very excited looking Jack Stone made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Benson Whyte was interviewed post fight and said 'Man got tired of all the bullshit decisions and close fights so I went out there to kill or be killed'.
