Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Ford (ranked 1769 p4p, 1361 weight class) and Miguel Sandoval (ranked 210 p4p, 163 weight class). The key to victory for Ed Ford has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.

Ford uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sandoval.
Sandoval throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ford.
Ford takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Ford rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sandoval moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ford misses with a wild body shot.
Ford throws out a loose jab but Sandoval uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sandoval keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Ford missing with a left hand there. Sandoval was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sandoval has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ford uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sandoval has time to react.
Nice defenses there by Ford.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ford connects with a single shot there.
Sandoval swings widly with a right hand
and Ford counters with a huge left! Sandoval is in big trouble! He's backing up but Ford isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Sandoval from any more damage. A dominating finish by Ford!
