Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Carter (ranked 4824 p4p, 4300 weight class) and Nick Diaz (ranked 535 p4p, 499 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by I'll Kill You Motherf*cker. Diaz has chosen The Next Episode - Dr. Dre as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Nick Diaz looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Carter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it.
Carter looks to score with a jab to the body but Diaz is just out of range.
A jab lands there for Carter.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Diaz tries a head kick but it misses.

Carter slips a jab and a cross from Diaz.

Carter's corner calls for a 1-2. Carter obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut.
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Carter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
John Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Diaz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter cracks Diaz with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Carter has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Diaz to stand back up!

Carter walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Diaz drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Carter swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Diaz's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

John Carter bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Nick Diaz was interviewed post fight and said 'He was just the better fighter tonight, I'll come back better than ever.'.
