Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ferreria (ranked 829 p4p, 725 weight class) and Lynch Boshank (ranked 109 p4p, 93 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Boshank's choice of entrance music: White Buffalo. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ferreria keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ferreria has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

It looks like Lynch Boshank has been cut.
Ferreria fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boshank shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ferreria throws the left hand but Boshank avoids the punch easily.

Ferreria fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Boshank.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferreria loads up on a big right hand but Boshank slips the punch.

A nice leg kick lands there from Boshank.
Ferreria bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

That has opened up Lynch Boshank's cut even more.

Boshank has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Boshank has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Boshank there as he acknowledges the shot.

The cut above Lynch Boshank's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ferreria connects with a jab.

Ferreria drops Boshank with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Boshank looks back up at him and smiles so Ferreria waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ferreria swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Boshank swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A punch lands to the side of Boshank 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Lynch Boshank's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lynch Boshank's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
