Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edith Reaves (ranked 3614 p4p, 24567 weight class) and Jon Wick (ranked 449 p4p, 689 weight class). Jon Wick told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edith Reaves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Wick!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.

Reaves throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Reaves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wick moves away.
Wick lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Reaves takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jab, jab by Wick - just one landing.
Reaves tries to move into range but Wick moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reaves remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That was a close round but I would say that Edith Reaves will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

My spies in Iron mikes mma inform me that Wick has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
