Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gyukosho Fujimoto (ranked 234 p4p, 283 weight class) and Conor Daley (ranked 36 p4p, 42 weight class). Daley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dropkick Murphy's - Shipping Up To Boston kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gyukosho Fujimoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Conor Daley! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daley ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Daley lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Daley misses with an uppercut. A low kick lands for Daley.
Fujimoto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Fujimoto misses with a two punch combination.
Daley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Daley tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fujimoto was well out of range. Poor timing from Daley. Fujimoto swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Daley misses with a wild body shot. An attempted straight right counter from Fujimoto misses the target. Daley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fujimoto. Daley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fujimoto.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fujimoto showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Daley.
Fujimoto lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Daley lands a slapping body shot.
Daley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Daley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Daley misses with a shot to the body and Fujimoto counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Conor Daley has been cut. Fujimoto uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Daley. Fujimoto was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Daley throws a jab when Fujimoto was well out of range. Fujimoto was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Fujimoto throws a big shot that misses. Daley ducks into an uppercut from Fujimoto and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gyukosho Fujimoto! Gyukosho Fujimoto seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
