Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dave Ashbourne Jr (ranked 2211 p4p, 5544 weight class) and Noah Diaz (ranked 123 p4p, 215 weight class). Ashbourne Jr's entrance music is Vertical Horizon - You're A God. A fine choice. Diaz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Circles - Post Malone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dave Ashbourne Jr has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dave Ashbourne Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Noah Diaz! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz with a poor takedown and Ashbourne Jr connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Noah Diaz has been cut. Ashbourne Jr connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Diaz's hands. Diaz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ashbourne Jr on his heels. He'll look to pass Ashbourne Jr's guard now, I'm sure. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Ashbourne Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Diaz wants to control but Ashbourne Jr is keeping him busy. Ashbourne Jr tries to buck Diaz off but Diaz is having none of it.

The ground and pound from Diaz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Diaz trying to control the position but Ashbourne Jr is working away. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Diaz is keen to just control but Ashbourne Jr is a slippery customer. Ashbourne Jr is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Diaz is stalling here. Ashbourne Jr is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Diaz seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ashbourne Jr has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Diaz regains half guard. Diaz looking for submissions off his back. Diaz actively working from the bottom here. Diaz wants to improve his position but Ashbourne Jr is controlling well.

Diaz tries to get to full guard but Ashbourne Jr has control of the leg. Diaz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ashbourne Jr is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ashbourne Jr is taking a breather. Diaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Diaz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ashbourne Jr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ashbourne Jr's back! Diaz is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ashbourne Jr knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ashbourne Jr for a finish. Diaz is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ashbourne Jr is defending well though. Diaz let's go of the attempt for now. Diaz not allowing Ashbourne Jr to control his hands. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Diaz tightening his grip on Ashbourne Jr, looking for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Noah Diaz will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Noah Diaz's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd cheers as Ashbourne Jr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diaz doesn't seem phased though. Diaz takes a shot right to the bread basket. Diaz has his takedown stuffed and Ashbourne Jr counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ashbourne Jr changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ashbourne Jr lands a really nice looking cross but Diaz seems unphased.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashbourne Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Diaz is breathing heavily. Ashbourne Jr lands with a hook. Diaz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. We've been told by Ashbourne Jr's head coaches at Ashbourne Fitness that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ashbourne Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diaz can do to turn this around? Ashbourne Jr lands a body shot.
Diaz has his takedown stuffed and Ashbourne Jr counters with a huge left! Diaz is in big trouble! He's backing up but Ashbourne Jr isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Diaz from any more damage. A dominating finish by Ashbourne Jr!
