Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazimir Yakov (ranked 3791 p4p, 1727 weight class) and Jeff Johnson (ranked 465 p4p, 224 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeff Johnson! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.

Johnson blocks a low kick nicely. Yakov moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson moves out of range of the leg kick from Yakov. Yakov staying out of range there. It looked like Yakov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Johnson. Yakov tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Yakov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Yakov with a hook. Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Yakov lands a jab to the nose. Yakov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Johnson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Yakov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We've been told by Yakov's head coaches at McGrady FT that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Johnson is rocked! Yakov steps in with a hook that catches Johnson right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Yakov follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Johnson looks absolutely devastated.
