With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kento Kawamata!

Al Din seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kawamata works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Al Din is looking to counter with a body kick.

Kawamata throws an overhand right that lands on Al Din's shoulder, as Al Din tries to avoid the shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kawamata might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The fighters circle momentarily. Kawamata darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Badr Al Din will probably get the nod.

It appears Al Din was looking to counter with a kick there.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Al Din counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kawamata! Al Din lets Kawamata back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Badr Al Din is the new light heavyweight champion!
Badr Al Din decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
