Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Costa (ranked 1215 p4p, 1107 weight class) and Steven Cold (ranked 165 p4p, 148 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Costa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Steven Cold! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cold moves in looking to clinch but Costa pushes him off. Cold tries to keep at a distance but Costa has taken the fight into the clinch. Cold tries to work over Costa's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. We've been hearing reports that Costa has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Cold doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cold struggles to land a body shot inside as Costa controls his hands.
Costa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Santiago Costa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cold misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Costa.
Costa tries to clinch but Cold moves out of range. A little jabbing left from Cold on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A jab from Costa does it's job there. Costa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cold has time to react. Costa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Costa blocks a body shot from Cold. Cold swings wildly with an uppercut but Costa uses good head movement to avoid it. A hook to the body from Cold.
Cold lands with a short head shot on the inside. Cold misses with a punch to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Cold fails to land. Cold throws a punch but it's blocked by Costa. Cold lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costa gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cold has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Costa is on him like a limpet, forcing Cold back against the cage. Cold tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Costa wants a takedown.
Cold misses with a short punch on the inside. Still in the clinch, Cold scores with a nice short uppercut. Cold has a couple of punches blocked by Costa.
Costa lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cold backwards. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Costa blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Costa tries for a takedown. No joy.
Costa wants the takedown. Cold is fighting it off but Costa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cold's guard against the cage. Costa wants to pass the guard but Cold is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Costa controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Costa trying to control but Cold is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Costa in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cold pushes Costa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Costa throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cold counters with a right hand to the body. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Costa moves out of range of the strikes. Cold avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Costa misses the jab. Costa scores with a jab to the head.
Cold takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Costa avoids the head kick by Cold.
Costa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cold momentarily.
Costa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Costa scores with a sloppy right hand. Cold should have avoided that one. Costa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cold looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Costa trying to control the position but Cold is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Costa in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Costa has an Americana. Cold didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Costa is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Costa hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Santiago Costa! During a confident post fight interview, Santiago Costa thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. In defeat, Steven Cold stepped up to the mic, saying 'Stand a Bang ...im sry too the fans for this boring zhit'.
