Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Simon (ranked 417 p4p, 516 weight class) and Akaro Horiguchi (ranked 54 p4p, 61 weight class). Horiguchi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Japanese Imperial Army Victory March. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Simon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Horiguchi wants to stand back up but Simon manages to pass into side control.
Horiguchi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Simon is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simon looking to take Horiguchi's back but Horiguchi rolls and after a scramble, Horiguchi ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Horiguchi to escape a tricky position.
Simon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Horiguchi manages to get himself to full guard.

Simon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Simon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Simon has his feet on Horiguchi's thighs here. He's pushed Horiguchi off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Horiguchi screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
