Akaro was a Shotokan prodigy when 8 years old but found his way into a Bosozuku (Japanese motorcycle gang)due to his older brothers influence. This resulted in a prison term for street crimes. Due to the disgrace brought to his family, Akaro left Japan and headed to Sydney to start his life over. In Sydney he met PJ Jones at a Kyokushin tournament and was invited to train at Far-Q and possibly compete in local MMA promotions. CFC LW champ
