I was talking to Diaz's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Washington changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to avoid it but Washington manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diaz to the ground. Diaz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Diaz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Washington shoots in looking for a takedown. Diaz tries to sprawl out of it but Washington keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Diaz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well Washington has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
